Ankara Airport to Beypazarı: Transfer, Bus and What to See
Short answer: Beypazarı is a town of Ottoman houses about 120 km west of Ankara Esenboğa Airport (ESB), roughly 95 minutes by road without traffic. There is no direct bus from the airport. A private transfer is the simplest way, from €83 per vehicle (Mercedes Vito, up to 6 passengers), and the exact price for your address is shown before you pay. The public route is bus 442 or the AnkaraAir coach to the Ulus and AKM side of the city, then EGO line 548-3, which takes about two hours; allow around four hours in all. This guide is about the town, not the mineral water of the same name.

Beypazarı is a small town of white Ottoman houses, cobbled lanes and a covered bazaar, and it is one of the most popular day trips from Ankara. It lies on the far western side of the province, so the airport is on the wrong side of the capital for it. This guide sets out how to get there from ESB by transfer, taxi and bus, what is worth seeing, and whether to make it a day trip or stay the night.
Ankara Airport to Beypazarı: Your Options
| Option | Journey time | Cost | Changes | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer | About 95 min without traffic (about 120 km) | from €83 per vehicle | None | Luggage, families, groups, late arrivals |
| Taxi from the rank | Similar to a transfer | Metered; our estimate is ≈€91–110 (₺5,050–6,050), with no night rate | None | Going without a booking |
| Bus 442 or AnkaraAir to Ulus/AKM, then EGO 548-3 | Allow about 4 h in total (our estimate; the 548-3 alone is about 2 h) | ≈€2.50 (₺150) for bus 442, or ≈€4.50 (₺250) for AnkaraAir, plus ₺234.50 for the 548-3, per person | At least one | One traveller with light bags and time |
Fares are per person, one way, as published in October 2026. Journey times are estimates and grow at rush hour, when you cross the whole of Ankara.
Option 1: Private Transfer
Our driver tracks your flight and waits just outside the arrivals exit. Once you have landed, the driver sends the exact meeting point and a short video on WhatsApp, so you do not have to look for anyone. Drivers speak English. The price is per vehicle, not per person, and there is no extra charge for traffic or flight delays. A Mercedes Vito takes up to 6 passengers with luggage, a V-Class VIP is available for smaller groups, and a Sprinter suits larger parties. Child seats are available on request.
The price starts from €83 per vehicle for the Vito, and the exact figure for your date and pickup time is shown before you pay. The details and a booking form are on the Ankara Airport to Beypazarı page. For the journey back, see Beypazarı to Ankara Airport.
The route is one of the longer ones out of Esenboğa. It crosses the full width of Ankara and then continues west on the main road for the last stretch. After a flight, many guests simply rest on the way.
Several Beypazarı hotels are restored konaks (mansions) on narrow stone streets, and a car cannot always reach the door. The driver goes as far as the lane allows and then helps you walk the cases to the entrance. Send us the name of your hotel when you book and we will check the access. Cobbles are hard on small wheels, so a soft bag or a sturdy case makes the last stretch easier.
Option 2: Taxi
Official taxis wait at the airport around the clock, and there is no night rate. Over about 120 km the meter adds up: our estimate, based on the 2026 tariff, is ≈€91–110 (₺5,050–6,050) one way, before any waiting time. Agree how you will pay before you set off, and see our Ankara Airport taxi prices guide for how the tariff works.
Option 3: Bus via Ulus (EGO 548-3)
There is no bus from Esenboğa to Beypazarı. The public route has two stages, and the second stage starts on the Ulus and AKM side of the city, not at AŞTİ bus station.
- Airport to Ulus or AKM. EGO bus 442 (≈€2.50 / ₺150) stops at İlk Meclis in Ulus Square. The AnkaraAir coach (≈€4.50 / ₺250) stops at AKM, its nearest stop to Ulus. Bus 442 is paid with a Başkent Kart, which is not sold at the airport, so carry some lira and a contactless bank card. Our Ankara Airport bus guide has the full timetables.
- Ulus or AKM to Beypazarı. EGO line 548-3 runs about hourly, roughly 06:30 to 21:00 from Ankara, via Sincan. The full fare has been ₺234.50 since 23 August 2026, or ₺240.50 by contactless bank card. Allow about 2 hours for the ride.
Line 548-1 also runs from Ulus to Beypazarı, with departures at 09:25 and 17:20 at the time of writing. EGO runs a separate line, 548, between Beypazarı and Fatih metro station in Sincan, at ₺147.50. Check the exact stop name for the 548-3 on EGO's timetable page (ego.gov.tr) before you leave the airport, because it may not be the stop where bus 442 or AnkaraAir drops you. Return times from Beypazarı are on the same page.
With a suitcase, two buses, a change of stop and a walk on cobbles are tiring after a flight. The bus makes most sense for one traveller with a light bag who is not in a hurry.
What to See in Beypazarı
The old town is compact and best done on foot. Most visitors spend a few hours on the streets and in the museums, then eat. The town gets its fame from its Ottoman houses, its bazaar and its food, and the municipality says it is on UNESCO's Tentative List.
Alaaddin Sokak and the Old Bazaar
Alaaddin Sokak is the main street of the old town, lined with restored konaks and food stalls. Weekends are the busiest time, when day-trippers fill the street and the centre moves slowly. A weekday visit leaves you more room.
The Silver Bazaar
The Gümüşcüler Çarşısı (silver sellers' bazaar) is known for silver and telkari, the fine silver filigree work of the town. Ask what is local silver and what is not before you buy.
Hıdırlık Hill
Hıdırlık Tepesi is a viewpoint over the town, about a 15-minute walk from the centre. The walk is uphill, so wear comfortable shoes.
The İnözü Valley
The İnözü Valley holds rock-cut caves and early Byzantine rock tombs, and it is a protected site. It lies outside the old centre, so ask us on WhatsApp before booking if you want a driver to take you there.
Museums
The municipality runs five small museums: the History and Culture Museum (Tarih ve Kültür Müzesi), the City History Museum (Kent Tarihi Müzesi), the Gas Lamp Museum (Gaz Lambası Müzesi), the Turkish Bath Museum (Türk Hamamı Müzesi) and the Living Museum (Yaşayan Müze). The History and Culture and City History museums are open daily from 09:00 to 18:00 according to the municipality. Entry fees were about ₺20 and ₺10 in March 2026, and the MüzeKart is not valid. Hours and fees can change, so check on the day. The tourism information office at the entrance to the town is open seven days a week, with English- and Turkish-speaking staff.
What to Eat and Buy
Beypazarı has several protected local products: Beypazarı kurusu (a dry biscuit), carrot lokum (havuç lokumu), höşmerim, cevizli tatlı sucuk (a walnut sweet) and dolma. If you stay beyond Beypazarı, the Nallıhan bird sanctuary lies about 30 km further on, and it is a separate trip.
Day Trip or Overnight?
From the airport the drive takes about 95 minutes, and the municipal museums close at 18:00. A landing before late morning leaves enough of the day for a walk, lunch and a museum or two. With an afternoon or evening landing, sleep in Beypazarı and see the town the next morning.
Most visitors spend one or two nights. A night in a konak is part of what the town offers, and the town is calm after dark. The June festival of historic houses, crafts, carrots and stew is the busiest time of year, when rooms and parking are tightest.
If you stay one night, book the way back in the same booking by choosing the return option and entering the date and pickup time for your flight home. For a same-day trip where the driver waits for you in town and drives you back, ask us on WhatsApp before booking, because a return with waiting time is not a standard product. Arriving late? Small konak hotels do not always keep a night reception, so tell the owner your landing time. Our arriving in Ankara at night guide covers the airport side.
Practical Tips
- Getting back to the airport: the drive from Beypazarı takes about 95 minutes without traffic. For an international flight, choose a pickup about 5 to 6 hours before departure, and about 4 to 5 hours before a domestic flight. For a flight at 18:00, that means a pickup between about 12:00 and 13:00.
- Traffic: Ankara is busiest on weekday mornings and evenings, especially on the city side of the airport road, so leave earlier at those times.
- Shoes: the lanes are cobbled and Hıdırlık Hill is uphill. Wear shoes with grip.
- Cash: carry some lira for the bazaar, stalls and museum desks.
- Name: "Beypazarı" is also a mineral water brand, so add "old town" or "Ankara" when you search for hotels and maps.
- Booking: the price is shown before you pay. You can see all Ankara Airport transfer options, or compare routes on the transfer prices page. If you want a day trip from the city instead, see Day Trips From Ankara.
