Antalya Airport: Taxi or Private Transfer?

Updated 31 October 2026

Short answer: For one to four people going to Lara, Konyaaltı or Belek, the taxi meter is cheaper: about €13–14 (₺700–800) to Lara and about €30–31 (₺1,650–1,750) to Belek for the whole car, against a transfer from €35 and €40 per vehicle. The two cross over around Kemer, where the meter (about €54–56 / ₺3,000–3,100) is close to a transfer from €50. Beyond Kemer, and for five or six people with bags, the pre-booked car is clearly cheaper.

Antalya Airport is only about 14–17 km from Lara and the centre, so here a taxi is often the sensible choice. Further along the coast the meter keeps running and the sums change. This page puts the two options side by side, route by route, and says where each one wins.

Lara to Alanya: Meter Against Fixed Price

Taxi figures are meter estimates for the whole car, based on the 2026 central tariff and the road distance, in free-flowing traffic. Our price is per vehicle (Mercedes Vito, up to 6 passengers), and the exact figure for your date and pickup time is shown before you pay.

The taxi column assumes one car. A standard taxi takes up to 4 passengers and usually 2–3 suitcases, so the next sections look at what happens with more people.

What the Meter Does and Does Not Add

Airport taxis use the Antalya central tariff: a start fee of about €0.70 (₺40), about €0.90 (₺50) per km and a minimum fare of about €3.50 (₺200). There is no night rate, no luggage charge and no toll on any of the routes in the table, so the meter fare is close to the whole story. The one extra is time: in near-standstill traffic, below about 5 km/h, the meter switches to about €4.50 (₺240) an hour, which adds little on most airport trips.

The uncertainty is elsewhere. The airport mentions a fare board next to the taxi rank, but its prices are not published online, so every taxi figure here is a meter estimate rather than a price list. Antalya's taxi fares are also under review: a request to raise them went to the metropolitan council's committee in October 2026, so the meter figures may rise. Our price is the one that is fixed when you book, per vehicle, with no extra charge for traffic or flight delays.

Short Hops: Where the Taxi Wins

Take the taxi if you are one to four people with ordinary luggage going to Lara, Kundu, the centre or Konyaaltı. The ride is 15–25 minutes, the meter stays low, and there is no booking to make. Uber reports that its taxi rides from the airport average about €26 (₺1,465) for a typical 28-minute trip, which fits these meter estimates.

The taxi also suits loose plans: with no booking, you simply join the queue at the rank.

The one-person case is stronger still. For one or two people travelling light, the AntRay tram is cheaper than either option and runs to the centre; see our Antalya Airport bus and tram guide.

Resort Runs: Where the Transfer Wins

The crossover comes between Belek and Kemer. To Belek the meter is still lower than our price. To Kemer the two are almost level, and from Side onwards the gap is large: the taxi to Side costs about €59–61 (₺3,300–3,400) against a transfer from €45, and Alanya is about €115 (₺6,300–6,400) against a transfer from €80. The same ride costs far less when it is priced per vehicle.

Distance is only part of it. The airport is on the east side of Antalya, so the Kemer road crosses the city before it follows the coast. In July and August the airport approach and the coastal roads get busy, particularly at weekends when many guests change hotels. A meter keeps counting in slow traffic; a price per vehicle does not, and a delayed flight is not charged extra either.

Large Belek resorts often sit at the end of long access roads, and "Kemer" can mean Göynük, Kiriş, Çamyuva or Tekirova, so give the exact hotel name when you book.

Five or Six People, Golf Bags and Two Taxis

This is where the arithmetic turns. A standard taxi takes up to 4 passengers, so a family of five or six with suitcases needs two taxis and pays two meter fares. One Mercedes Vito carries up to 6 passengers and 7 bags for one price.

Golf bags change things even for a small party. A taxi usually fits 2–3 suitcases, so a group of three with clubs may need a second car; a Vito takes golf bags with the luggage of a small group, and a Sprinter suits a bigger one. Child seats cost 5 euros per seat and are added when you book.

Landing Late at Terminal 2

Taxis wait outside the arrivals exit of every terminal around the clock, and the tariff has no night rate, so a taxi at 02:00 costs the same on the meter as one at midday. That makes a late taxi to Lara or the centre a reasonable choice. At the time of writing almost every international flight uses Terminal 2, which has no tram stop, and the last tram leaves the airport at 00:05, so after midnight the real choice is a taxi or a booked car.

For a resort hotel at night, the difference is the waiting and the unknowns. In peak summer the taxi queue can be long when several charter flights land together, and the ride to Kemer, Side or Alanya is an hour or more. Our driver tracks your flight, so a late or early landing changes nothing, and passport control queues do not matter because the car waits for you. See Arriving in Antalya at night for what else still runs.

Uber and Taxi Apps in Antalya

Uber in Antalya is UberTaksi: it calls a licensed taxi that runs on the meter, with a price shown in the app first. Uber says airport pickups may not be available at all hours. BiTaksi also covers Antalya and takes foreign cards in the app, or cash. App taxis come from the city, so expect a wait. An app does not change the comparison: it is still a metered taxi.

At the Rank and at the Exit

Taxi: the rank is directly in front of the arrivals exit of Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the Domestic terminal, run by the airport taxi cooperative. No booking is needed: join the queue and take the next car. Ask for the meter ("taksimetre lütfen"), turn down euro prices offered without it, and take a receipt (fiş), which you need to complain about a fare. From 16 November 2026 taxis must accept bank cards through a device linked to the meter; until then it depends on the driver, so carry some lira.

Transfer: our driver waits just outside the arrivals exit. After you land, they send the exact meeting point and a short video on WhatsApp, and they speak English. Go only with the driver who has contacted you; tour reps and other drivers also wait in the crowd. The price was shown before you paid. Our guide to meeting your driver at Antalya Airport shows the whole sequence.

Coming Back: The Resort Tariff Works Against You

The trip to the airport is not the mirror image of the trip from it. Taxis licensed in resort districts such as Kemer, Serik (Belek), Manavgat (Side) and Alanya use the higher resort tariff, with a start fee of about €1.10 (₺60), about €1.25 (₺70) per km and a minimum of about €4.50 (₺250). If the meter runs all the way, as the rules suggest, the ride back costs noticeably more than the ride out.

Resort to airportTaxi, resort tariff (meter estimate)Private transfer
Belek≈€43 (₺2,370)from €40 per vehicle
Kemer≈€77 (₺4,260)from €50 per vehicle
Side≈€84 (₺4,680)from €45 per vehicle
Alanya≈€160 (₺8,950)from €80 per vehicle

So on the way home the transfer is cheaper even at Belek, narrowly, and wins from Kemer onwards by a wide margin. Practice varies, so ask your hotel for an estimate. You can book the return in the same booking: choose a return trip and enter the date and time of your flight home, and the driver comes to your hotel entrance. For Kemer our route page suggests a pickup about 4¼–4¾ hours before an international flight, and in summer leave earlier at weekends.

Frequently asked questions

Is a taxi or a private transfer cheaper from Antalya Airport?

It depends on the distance. For one car, the taxi meter is cheaper to Lara (about €13–14 / ₺700–800), Konyaaltı and Belek (about €30–31 / ₺1,650–1,750). To Kemer the two are about level, and to Side and Alanya a transfer from €45 or €80 per vehicle costs much less than the meter.

Where do the taxi and transfer prices cross over?

Around Kemer. A taxi to Kemer comes to about €54–56 (₺3,000–3,100) on the meter, against a transfer from €50 per vehicle. Closer than Kemer the taxi is cheaper; further out the transfer is.

Is one taxi enough for five or six people?

Usually not. A standard Antalya taxi takes up to 4 passengers and usually 2–3 suitcases, so five or six people need two taxis and pay two meter fares. One Mercedes Vito takes up to 6 passengers and 7 bags for one price per vehicle, from €40 to Belek.

Do Antalya taxis charge extra at night or for luggage?

No. The 2026 tariff has no night rate and no luggage charge, and there are no tolls on the routes from the airport to Lara, Belek, Kemer, Side or Alanya. Only in near-standstill traffic does the meter switch to a time charge of about €4.50 (₺240) an hour.

Is the taxi back to the airport the same price as the taxi from it?

Not always. Taxis licensed in resort districts use the higher resort tariff, so the ride back costs more than the ride out: on the meter about €43 (₺2,370) from Belek and about €77 (₺4,260) from Kemer. A transfer from those resorts starts at €40 and €50 per vehicle. Ask your hotel for an estimate first.

Does Uber work at Antalya Airport?

Uber in Antalya calls a licensed taxi that runs on the meter and shows a price in the app first. Uber says airport pickups may not be available at all hours, and app taxis come from the city, so expect a wait. Its taxi rides from the airport average about €26 (₺1,465).

Where do I find the taxi, and where does my driver wait?

The taxi rank is directly in front of the arrivals exit of Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the Domestic terminal, open around the clock. Our driver waits just outside the arrivals exit and, after you land, sends the exact meeting point and a short video on WhatsApp.

What if my flight lands late or is delayed?

Our driver tracks your flight and adjusts to the actual landing time, with no extra charge for traffic or flight delays. Taxis also wait around the clock, but in peak summer the queue can be long when several flights land together.

Want the price settled before you fly?

Your driver waits just outside the arrivals exit at Antalya Airport. A Mercedes Vito for up to 6 passengers costs from €35 to Lara, from €40 to Belek and from €50 to Kemer, and the exact price for your date and pickup time is shown before you pay.
