Antalya Airport (AYT) Taxi Prices 2026: Fares, Meter Tariff and Tips

Updated 3 October 2026

Short answer: Antalya Airport taxis run on the city's central meter tariff: ≈€0.70 (₺40) to start plus ≈€0.90 (₺50) per km, minimum fare ≈€3.50 (₺200), the same day and night. That comes to roughly €13–14 (₺750–800) to Lara, ≈€15–16 (₺850–900) to the city centre and ≈€29–31 (₺1,600–1,700) to Belek, with no tolls or luggage charges. These are meter estimates, as the fare board at the airport rank is not published. A private transfer costs from €35 to Lara or from €40 to Belek per vehicle, for up to 6 passengers.

Antalya Airport (AYT) is close to the city and the Lara hotels, so a taxi from the rank outside arrivals is the easy option if you haven't booked anything. Further along the coast the meter adds up quickly. Here are the 2026 tariff, estimated fares to the main resorts, how the airport's fare board fits in, how to pay, and when the tram, Havaş or a private transfer is the better choice.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality tariff, in force since March 2026. The central tariff covers Muratpaşa, where the airport is, plus Kepez, Konyaaltı, Döşemealtı and Aksu, so taxis from the airport always use it. There is no night rate and no luggage charge.

*Free-flowing traffic; allow more in peak summer and at rush hour. Taxi estimates are the start fee plus the per-km rate, with no tolls on any of these routes. From Terminal 1 the drive to the centre can be a little shorter and cheaper. Transfer prices are per vehicle (Mercedes Vito, up to 6 passengers); the exact price for your date and pickup time is shown before you pay. Meter or fare board?

Antalya's taxi rules are clear: the meter must be visible and switched on at the start of every trip, the fare is what it shows at the end, and charging more than the tariff can be fined. The driver must take the shortest route unless you ask otherwise.

The airport, however, mentions a fare board next to the taxi rank, and the airport taxi cooperative advertises "fixed and transparent" prices. Those board prices are not published online, so the fares above are meter estimates. Before you set off, check the board or ask for the meter ("taksimetre lütfen"), and make sure any price is in lira. An old fare table on the airport's website dates from 2020, so don't go by it.

In near-standstill traffic, below about 5 km/h, the meter charges ≈€4.50 (₺240) an hour instead of by distance, which adds little to most airport trips. The tariff card must be displayed in the cab.

Where to find taxis at Antalya Airport

There is a taxi rank directly in front of the arrivals exit of each terminal: Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the Domestic terminal. The airport taxi cooperative, which calls itself the airport's only licensed taxi operator, runs them 24/7 with 246 cars, so you'll find a taxi whenever you land. No booking is needed: join the queue and take the next car. Drivers carry an airport ID tag, and a standard taxi takes up to 4 passengers.

Paying: lira, card or euros?

Taxi apps: Uber and BiTaksi

Uber works in Antalya as UberTaksi: it books a licensed taxi that runs on the meter and shows a price in the app first, but Uber says airport pickups may not be available at all hours. BiTaksi also covers Antalya and takes foreign Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards in the app, or cash. App taxis come from the city, so expect to wait.

Going back to the airport from a resort

Taxis licensed in resort districts such as Kemer, Serik (Belek), Manavgat (Side), Alanya and Kaş use the higher resort tariff: ≈€1.10 (₺60) to start and ≈€1.25 (₺70) per km. If a resort taxi runs its own meter all the way, as the rules suggest, the ride back to AYT costs noticeably more than the same trip from the airport. Practice varies, so ask your hotel or the driver for an estimate first. From Konyaaltı, the Havaş coach to the airport costs ≈€4 (₺220).

How to avoid problems, and how to complain

Complaints work: in July 2026 a driver who took a tourist from the airport with the meter off and asked for 30 dollars was banned from the airport the same day.

Taxi, Havaş, tram or private transfer?

For one or two people going to Lara, Kundu or the centre, a taxi is quick and inexpensive. Otherwise:

Frequently asked questions

How much is a taxi from Antalya Airport to Lara?

About €13–14 (₺750–800) on the meter for the 14–16 km trip, which takes 15–20 minutes in normal traffic. Kundu, just beyond Lara, comes to about €14–16 (₺800–900). There are no tolls and no luggage charge. A private transfer to Lara costs from €35 per vehicle for up to 6 passengers.

How much is a taxi from Antalya Airport to Belek?

About €29–31 (₺1,600–1,700) to Belek (about 33 km, around 35 minutes) and ≈€24–25 (₺1,350–1,400) to the Kadriye hotels on Belek's western side. These are meter estimates: the fare board at the airport rank is not published, so check it or ask for the meter before you set off. A private transfer to Belek costs from €40 per vehicle.

Do Antalya airport taxis use the meter?

They must. Antalya's taxi rules say the meter has to be visible and switched on at the start of every trip, and the fare is what it shows at the end. There is also a fare board next to the airport rank, so look at it or say 'taksimetre lütfen' (meter, please) before you leave, and turn down euro prices offered without the meter.

Can I pay an Antalya taxi by card or in euros?

From 16 November 2026 taxis must take bank cards through a device linked to the meter, with no extra charge for paying by card. Until then it depends on the driver, so ask before you get in and carry Turkish lira. Drivers may accept euros, but the exchange rate they use is not regulated, so paying the lira amount on the meter, in cash or by card, is the safer choice.

Is there a night rate for taxis in Antalya?

No. The 2026 tariff has no night rate, so the same ≈€0.70 (₺40) start and ≈€0.90 (₺50) per km apply around the clock, and there is no charge for luggage. Only in near-standstill traffic does the meter switch to a time charge of ≈€4.50 (₺240) an hour, which adds little to most airport trips.

Taxi or private transfer for a family?

A standard taxi takes up to 4 passengers, so a family of five or six with suitcases usually needs two taxis and pays two meter fares. One Mercedes Vito carries up to 6 passengers, from €40 to Belek or from €45 to Side per vehicle, and the exact price for your date and pickup time is shown before you pay. Your driver meets you just outside the arrivals exit and contacts you on WhatsApp once you land.

Rather know the price before you travel?

Your driver meets you just outside the arrivals exit at Antalya Airport and takes you straight to your hotel. A Mercedes Vito for up to 6 passengers costs from €35 to Lara or from €40 to Belek, and the exact price for your date and pickup time is shown before you pay.
