Antalya Airport to Alanya
Alanya is the furthest of the big Riviera resorts from Antalya Airport (AYT), about 120–130 km to the east along the coastal highway. It's a long transfer after a flight, often with tired children and lots of luggage, and many holiday flights land late at night. Good planning makes the biggest difference on this route.
Short answer: a taxi or private transfer takes about 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes, depending on traffic and where your hotel is. In season, Havaş airport coaches run to Alanya, timed to flight arrivals. A coach from Antalya's bus station is the other public option, with journey times of 3 hours or more including the trip to the station. Flying into Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport (GZP), much closer to Alanya, is worth checking if it suits your flights.

*Road times depend on traffic on the coastal highway, especially in peak summer, and on whether your hotel is in central Alanya or in resorts such as Konaklı, Avsallar or Mahmutlar.
Option 1: private transfer
Your driver tracks your flight, waits with a name sign in arrivals and drives you straight to your hotel at a fixed price per vehicle agreed in advance. On a two-hour journey that often starts late at night, knowing your driver will be there even if your flight is delayed, and that nobody has to change vehicles, is what matters most. Option 2: taxi
Taxis wait outside arrivals around the clock, but this is one of the longest taxi rides you can take from the airport, and the metered fare reflects that. Insist on the meter, turn down fixed prices inside the terminal and keep some cash handy.
Option 3: Havaş coach
In the main season, Havaş runs airport coaches to Alanya, with departures generally timed to flight arrivals and fewer in winter. The coach is much cheaper than a car, but it takes longer and stops at central points rather than at your hotel. Check havas.net for the current timetable, particularly if you land late.
Option 4: bus via Antalya's bus station
The alternative public route is the AntRay tram or bus 600 to Antalya's bus station, then an intercity coach to Alanya. Including connections, allow 3 hours or more. It suits travellers with light luggage arriving during the day.
Arriving late at night
Many holiday flights land at Antalya in the evening or after midnight. Public transport and coaches may not match a late or delayed arrival, and a two-hour taxi ride at night is a long, expensive way to start a holiday. A pre-booked transfer is the most reliable choice for late arrivals to Alanya.
Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport: the closer alternative
Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport (GZP) is far closer to Alanya than Antalya Airport, but it handles far fewer flights. If your airline flies there, it can save you most of the road journey; if not, Antalya remains the main gateway.
