Alanya to Antalya Airport: Planning the Longest Run
Short answer: From Alanya the drive to Antalya Airport takes about 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes, the longest of the big resort runs on this coast. Our private car costs from €80 per vehicle (Mercedes Vito, up to 6 passengers), not per person. For an international flight, plan a pickup about 5½–6½ hours before departure. Before you book, check that your ticket says AYT and not GZP.

Alanya is the furthest of the big Riviera resorts from Antalya Airport, about 125 km away along the coastal highway. With two hours on the road there is little slack: if traffic slows near Antalya or the airport approach backs up, you cannot make the time back, so the pickup time matters more here than anywhere else on the coast.
First Check: Antalya (AYT) or Gazipaşa (GZP)?
Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport (GZP) is much nearer to town and some airlines use it, but it handles far fewer flights, and most travellers from Alanya fly from Antalya. Look at the airport code on your ticket before you book a transfer. This page, and our route page, are for Antalya (AYT).
Check the terminal too: in 2026 almost all international flights leave from Terminal 2, but it is set per flight, so give it to the driver at pickup.
Pickup Times for the Longest Run
Airlines usually recommend being at the airport 2–3 hours before an international flight. From Alanya we plan 3 hours at the airport, a drive of about two hours, longer when the road is busy, and a margin. That means a pickup about 5½–6½ hours before an international flight and 4½–5½ hours before a domestic one.

Take the early end of the window at weekends, when the coast changes guests, and in July and August. If you are unsure, send us your flight time on WhatsApp and we suggest a pickup time.
Night and Dawn Departures
For early and late flights there is no public alternative. Bus AA01 from Alanya to Antalya's bus station runs only from 06:30 to 17:30, so the first connection reaches the airport at about 10:00, and for an evening or night flight there is no public option at all. Pack the night before, set two alarms and be at reception at the pickup time: the driver keeps to the time you booked. If you have rented a flat, arrange the key return with the owner beforehand, because an early departure may come before they are awake.
Castle Lanes, Beach Hotels and Holiday Flats
Alanya is built around a rocky peninsula with a Seljuk castle on top, and the rock divides the town in two: hotels gather along Cleopatra Beach to the west and Keykubat Beach to the east. Tell us which side you are on and give the hotel's full name.
- Hotels: the driver comes to the entrance at the pickup time and contacts you on WhatsApp (hotel pickup). Be in the lobby a few minutes early with your luggage.
- Castle hill and Tophane: the lanes are steep and narrow, and the car cannot always reach the door. The driver names the nearest wide street and helps with the bags from there.
- A vague address? Landmarks that help are the harbour and the Red Tower, Damlataş Cave and the Alanyum shopping mall.
- Outside the centre: Konaklı, Avsallar and Mahmutlar have their own route pages with their own prices.
Two Hours on the Coastal Highway
The car takes the coastal highway west to the departures drop-off, with no change of vehicle. Where you start changes the time: a hotel in the centre is further from the airport than a resort on the western edge of town. In July and August the main roads through the centre can be slow, particularly in the evening, so for a late-afternoon flight the first few kilometres may take longer than you expect. At the far end, the airport approach and the check-in counters fill up on summer weekends.
- Keep passports, boarding passes and medication in your hand luggage, not in the boot.
- Take water and a snack for children, and ask the driver for a short stop if anyone needs one.
AA01 Bus, Resort Taxi or Private Car
Alanya taxis use Antalya's resort tariff, ≈€1.10 (₺60) to start and ≈€1.25 (₺70) per km, with no night rate. Over this distance the meter back costs more than the airport taxi out, which runs on the central tariff. Our price is the same in both directions.

Taxi figures are meter estimates for the whole car in free-flowing traffic; practice varies, so ask your hotel for an estimate first. Our price is per vehicle, and the exact price for your date and pickup time is shown before you pay.
- When the bus is enough: one or two people with light luggage and an afternoon or evening flight that the AA01 hours can reach. The bus takes about 2 hours 25 minutes and leaves every 30 minutes; at the bus station the tram stop is about 400 m from the district platform, and the tram then takes 50 minutes to the stop beside Terminal 1 and the Domestic terminal. For Terminal 2, take the free ring shuttle.
- The taxi: for this distance it costs more than our car, and a standard taxi takes only 4 passengers and usually 2–3 suitcases.
- When the car wins: nearly always. Long-stay guests often travel with far more than a week's luggage, so enter the real number of cases: a Vito takes 6 passengers and 7 suitcases, and a Sprinter (15 and 20) is better once the bags outnumber the people.

Booking, Payment and Cancellation
Each vehicle is shown with its price for the whole vehicle, with no extra charge for traffic or flight delays, and child seats cost five euros per seat. The payment page shows each option and its exact amount before you confirm: card online on iyzico's secure 3D Secure page, cash to the driver in euro, US dollar, pound sterling or lira, or a booking guarantee by card with the rest in cash (how to pay). Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup; from 6 to 24 hours before, up to 50% of the one-way price is charged, and under 6 hours the full price may be charged. Date and time changes are possible until 24 hours before pickup. If you book your arrival and departure together, the return part gets a discount.
