Kadıköy is on the Asian side, on the same shore as Sabiha Gökçen, so this is the one Istanbul district where the nearer airport is also the easy one. The drive from there needs no Bosphorus crossing. Short Run From SAW, Long Run From IST

Sabiha Gökçen to Kadıköy: the car heads west on the O-4 (TEM) or follows the D-100 through Kartal and Maltepe, then takes the Kozyatağı and Göztepe stretch into Kadıköy. Outside rush hour allow 35 to 50 minutes. Weekday mornings and evenings push it to 60 to 90 minutes, mostly between Kartal and Pendik and around Kozyatağı and Göztepe.

Istanbul Airport to Kadıköy: the driver chooses between the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge on the O-2 (TEM) and the 15 July Martyrs Bridge via Hasdal, Kağıthane and Zincirlikuyu. Allow 60 to 80 minutes outside peak hours and 90 to 120 minutes in the weekday rush, especially for an afternoon landing that meets the evening jam at Kavacık.

Pier, Moda or Bağdat Caddesi: Where the Driver Stops

• Pier and market: the Bahariye pedestrian street and much of the market area are closed to cars, so the driver stops at the closest open road and you walk the last stretch.
• Moda: quiet and old, with narrow streets and little room to stop. A nearby corner is usually best.
• Caddebostan, Suadiye and Bostancı: boutique and seaside hotels near Bağdat Caddesi, normally with kerbside or side-street pickups.
• Kozyatağı: business hotels close to the D-100, an easy stop on the way in.

Early Landings, Late Landings and Match Days

Hotel check-in often starts in the afternoon, so after an early landing ask the hotel whether you can leave luggage at reception; the market, the seafront and the cafés of Moda are within walking distance. Many Sabiha Gökçen flights land late in the evening, and because we track the flight the driver is outside whenever you actually come through. On the way out, Kadıköy is home to Fenerbahçe's Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium and the streets around it are busier on match days; tell us your hotel when you book so the pickup time allows for it.

Choosing the Vehicle

A Mercedes Vito takes up to six passengers and seven bags. The Mercedes VIP Vito takes four passengers and five bags with a more comfortable interior. A Mercedes Sprinter carries 15 passengers and 20 bags, and the VIP Sprinter 10 passengers and 16 bags. Child seats cost five euros per seat and are ordered on the booking form.

Add the return when you book. The driver collects you from your address and helps with the bags. To Sabiha Gökçen the drive takes about 35 minutes without traffic, so choose a pickup about 3¾ to 4¼ hours before an international flight and 2¾ to 3¼ hours before a domestic one. When the M4 or a Taxi Is the Better Buy

Kadıköy is the first station of the M4, which runs straight to Sabiha Gökçen with no change and ignores road traffic. It takes roughly an hour and is a good low-cost choice for a light bag and an afternoon flight, though you must carry everything down the stairs. The Havabüs costs ≈€5.50 (₺300) per person. A yellow taxi on the meter is about €32–41 (₺1,800–2,300) from Sabiha Gökçen, with no night rate and no bridge, and for one or two people it is usually cheaper than a transfer. Changing or Cancelling a Kadıköy Booking

Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup. From 6 to 24 hours before, the fee is 50% of the one-way price. Under 6 hours there is no refund. The date and time of a booking can be changed online until 24 hours before pickup, subject to availability.
