Bodrum Airport to Turgutreis and Gümüşlük

Updated 25 October 2026

Short answer: Turgutreis is 55 km and Gümüşlük 56 km from Bodrum Airport (BJV), about 64 and 68 minutes by car on Google's figures, at the western end of the Bodrum peninsula. A private transfer costs from €44 to Turgutreis and from €45 to Gümüşlük per vehicle, with the exact price for your date shown before you pay. The public route has three legs: the airport coach (₺270 to Bodrum bus station at Torba at the time of writing, timed to domestic arrivals), the city ring bus to the town garage, then a dolmuş. Dolmuşes to Turgutreis run every 10 to 25 minutes and to Gümüşlük 18 to 23 times a day. The airport publishes no taxi price list, so agree the fare before you set off.

Turgutreis is a town with a large marina and a Saturday market. Gümüşlük, a little further on, is a small bay village on the site of ancient Myndos. Neither has an airport bus of its own, so the choice is between a direct transfer and a change in Bodrum.

Distances and drive times come from Google routing and assume a clear road. In peak summer traffic the journey takes longer, so add time.

Option 1: Private Transfer

Our driver tracks your flight and waits just outside the arrivals exit, whichever terminal you land at. After you land, the driver sends the exact meeting point and a short video on WhatsApp. Drivers speak English. The price is per vehicle, not per person, and there is no extra charge for traffic or flight delays. A Mercedes Vito takes up to 6 passengers with luggage, a V-Class VIP suits couples and small groups, and a Sprinter fits a larger party. Child seats are available on request.

The transfer starts from €44 per vehicle to Turgutreis and from €45 to Gümüşlük. Send the exact name of your hotel or villa when you book, so the driver can plan the last stretch and show you where the car will wait in the WhatsApp video.

For arrivals, terminals and the other resorts, see our Bodrum Airport guide. If you fly into İzmir instead, see the İzmir section below.

Option 2: Airport Coach, Ring Bus and Dolmuş

This is the cheapest route, but it has three legs and no published door-to-door time. The fares below are from the operators' pages and fare tables in 2026 and can change.

  1. Airport coach to Bodrum bus station (Torba). The fare is ₺270 at the time of writing, about 45 minutes in the Havaş listing, with a stop at Güvercinlik (₺220). The coach is timed to domestic arrivals: the operators say it meets all domestic flights, and the municipal line page says no passengers are picked up or set down at the international terminal's stop. There is no fixed timetable from the airport, and you cannot reserve a seat in advance. If you land on an international flight, do not count on this coach.
  2. Ring bus 2-81 from Torba bus station to the town garage. It runs every 30 minutes from 07:00 to 23:30 and hourly through the night, every day. The fare is ₺28 with a Muğla Kart or ₺59 with a two-ride card.
  3. Dolmuş from the garage to Turgutreis or Gümüşlük. Most peninsula dolmuşes start at Bodrum's town garage (Merkez Garaj), not at Torba.
LineRouteFrequency (at the time of writing)Fare: Muğla Kart / two-ride card
2-34Bodrum to Turgutreis, 21 kmEvery 10 to 25 min. From Bodrum on weekdays 07:05 to 00:00, from Turgutreis 06:15 to 23:00; fewer trips at weekends₺80 / ₺101 from the town garage; ₺89 / ₺115 from Torba
2-45Bodrum to Gümüşlük and Gümüşkaya, 27 km23 trips on weekdays, 18 at weekends. From Bodrum about 07:15 to 22:00₺89 / ₺115 to Gümüşlük from Torba
2-44Turgutreis to GümüşlükAbout every 45 min, every day. From Turgutreis 08:00 to 22:30₺42 / ₺59

The first fare is the local Muğla Kart price and the second is the two-ride card. The line pages say you can pay by credit card. Two weekday departures on line 2-34 (11:05 and 14:04) start at Torba bus station itself, which saves the ring bus. Adding the three legs gives roughly ₺380 to ₺430 per person to Turgutreis. The fares are per person, so the total grows with the size of your group.

Timetables matter on the way home. The last dolmuş from Bodrum to Gümüşlük leaves at about 22:00, so a late landing can leave you with no onward bus. Check the line pages at ulasim.muttas.com.tr before you rely on them.

Option 3: Taxi

The airport says taxis serve both terminals around the clock. Taxis have no night rate. The airport publishes no price list for this coast, so ask the driver for an estimate before you get in and agree how you will pay. Turgutreis and Gümüşlük are among the longest rides on the peninsula. You can compare with our prices on the transfer prices page.

From İzmir Airport

If you fly into İzmir instead, we also run that route. Turgutreis is about 240 km from İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport, roughly 200 minutes without traffic, so it only makes sense when the İzmir flights suit you much better. See the İzmir Airport to Turgutreis page for the price and the return leg, Turgutreis to İzmir Airport. Our İzmir Airport guide covers arrival there.

Turgutreis

Turgutreis sits at the western tip of the peninsula. It has D-Marin Turgutreis, a marina with 532 berths and 150 dry-storage spaces, according to the operator.

Turgutreis marina was used for trial sailings to the Greek island of Kos in October 2026. Whether a regular service follows is not announced, so check with the ferry company before you plan around it. Passport and visa rules for Greece are for you to check before you travel.

Gümüşlük

Gümüşlük is a small bay village that stands on ancient Myndos, and guides say some of the remains lie under the water. The village is known for its sunsets.

Tell us the address of your accommodation in advance, so the driver can plan where to stop in the village.

Ortakent and Yahşi

Ortakent and Yahşi lie on the main road between Bodrum and Turgutreis, so they are the villages you pass first from the airport (Ortakent is 45 km and about 50 minutes from the airport on Google's figures). Dolmuş lines 2-28 (lower road) and 2-29 (upper road) leave Bodrum about every 20 to 25 minutes from about 07:10 to 23:30. A ride from the garage to Ortakent costs ₺68 with a Muğla Kart or ₺87 with a two-ride card, and from Torba bus station to Yahşi village the same.

If your stay is in Ortakent or Yahşi, ask us on WhatsApp for the transfer price before booking.

Getting Around the Western Peninsula

Once you are on the coast, line 2-37 links Göltürkbükü, Yalıkavak, Gümüşlük and Turgutreis. It runs 16 trips a day each way, about every 45 to 60 minutes, from about 07:10 to 20:00. A ride from Gölköy to Gümüşlük costs ₺89 with a Muğla Kart or ₺115 with a two-ride card, and to Turgutreis ₺112 or ₺144. It also reaches Yalıkavak, whose marina and windmills are in our Yalıkavak, Türkbükü and Gölköy guide. Our Bodrum town guide covers the castle, the museums and the ferries to Kos and Datça.

Timetables change with the season and the weather, so check each line page before you travel.

A Suggested Plan

  1. Day of arrival. Transfer, check in, a walk along the Turgutreis waterfront or the bay at Gümüşlük before dinner.
  2. Market day. Saturday for the Turgutreis produce market, or Wednesday for Gümüşlük.
  3. Evening. The sunset in Gümüşlük, with the dolmuş or a pre-arranged ride back. Mind the last dolmuş times.
  4. Last day. Leave a margin before your flight. The drive back to the airport takes about the same time as the drive out.
