Bodrum Airport to Yalıkavak, Türkbükü and Gölköy
Short answer: Yalıkavak marina is about 54 km and 62 minutes from Bodrum Airport (BJV), Türkbükü is 44.5 km and 47 minutes, and Gölköy, next door, is 48 km and 54 minutes. A private transfer is from €43 per vehicle to Yalıkavak and from €40 to the Türkbükü and Gölköy area (Mercedes Vito, up to 6 passengers), with the exact price shown before you pay. The public route is the airport coach (₺270 per person) to Bodrum bus station at Torba, then a dolmuş. The coach is timed to domestic arrivals, so after an international flight a transfer or taxi is the dependable choice.

The north coast of the Bodrum peninsula is a different trip from the town itself. Yalıkavak and Türkbükü lie on the north side of the peninsula, on different roads from Gümbet and Bitez. The airport sits inland near Milas, so the drive is longer than most visitors expect, and the public-transport answer depends on which terminal you land at. This guide gives distances, prices, the dolmuş lines that matter, and what there is to do once you arrive.
Distances and Prices from Bodrum Airport
| Destination | Road distance | Drive time | Private transfer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Torba (on the way) | 33.1 km | 33 min | From €40 per vehicle |
| Türkbükü | 44.5 km | 47 min | From €40 per vehicle (Türkbükü and Gölköy area) |
| Gölköy | 48.1 km | 54 min | From €40 per vehicle (Türkbükü and Gölköy area) |
| Yalıkavak marina | 53.9 km | 62 min | From €43 per vehicle |
Distances and times are Google road figures for 25 October 2026 without hold-ups; allow more in July and August. Prices are per vehicle (Mercedes Vito, up to 6 passengers), not per person, and the exact price for your date and pickup time is shown before you pay.
Private Transfer
Our driver tracks your flight, so there is no extra charge for traffic or flight delays. The driver waits just outside the arrivals exit, and once you have landed sends you the exact meeting point and a short video on WhatsApp. Our drivers speak English. The price covers the whole vehicle, so for a family or a group of friends it often compares well with several dolmuş tickets, and it takes you to your door. Child seats are available on request. We also have a V-Class VIP for smaller groups and a Sprinter for larger ones.
Send your hotel or villa name and a map pin when you book, so the driver goes to the right entrance. You can book the return to the airport at the same time. Compare all routes on our transfer prices page, or book on our Muğla Airport Transfer page.
Ways to Reach the North Coast Compared
| Option | Time | Cost | Changes | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer | 47–62 min | From €40 (Türkbükü and Gölköy area) or €43 (Yalıkavak) per vehicle | None | Luggage, families, late arrivals, any terminal |
| Airport taxi | Similar to the drive times above | Metered; the airport publishes no price list | None | Arriving without a booking |
| Airport coach, then dolmuş 2-46 (Türkbükü, Gölköy) | Depends on when the coach leaves and the connection | ₺270 coach plus the dolmuş fare | 1, at Torba | One or two people with light bags, landing from a domestic flight |
| Airport coach, ring line 2-81, then dolmuş 2-41 (Yalıkavak) | Depends on the coach and two connections | About ₺430 per person on a two-ride card | 2, at Torba and in town | The budget route to Yalıkavak |
Bus and dolmuş fares are per person and were checked on 25 October 2026; the MUTTAŞ fare tables date from May 2026 and can change.
The Airport Coach and Torba Bus Station
The airport coach is line 48-24, run by MUTTAŞ, the Muğla municipal transport company. The Havaş website lists the same ₺270 fare for the airport and Bodrum, with about 45 minutes for the full run. On the way it stops at Güvercinlik, then at the new Bodrum bus station in Torba. Torba is a useful place to change for the north coast, because it lies on the road from the airport and the Türkbükü and Gölköy dolmuş line passes through it, so for that side of the peninsula you avoid going into the town centre. MUTTAŞ gives ₺220 to Güvercinlik and ₺270 to Torba.
There are two limits to know before you plan around it.
- It meets domestic arrivals. The coach is timed to domestic flights and leaves from the domestic terminal. MUTTAŞ states that, on a decision by the airport operator, passengers are not set down or picked up at the international-terminal stop. If you land on an international flight, do not count on a coach.
- There is no fixed timetable. The coach follows domestic arrivals, and at the time of writing MUTTAŞ says there are no reservations or advance tickets for it. In the other direction, coaches leave Bodrum about two hours before domestic departures.
The new bus station at Torba opened in 2021, according to local press, and was built to take intercity coaches out of the town centre.
Dolmuş Lines to Yalıkavak, Türkbükü and Gölköy
All of these are MUTTAŞ lines, and the line pages say you can pay by bank card. Fares are written in the municipality's tables for the personal Muğla Kart and for the two-ride card. The two-ride card is the realistic fare for a visitor, so that is the first figure below.
| Line | Route | Frequency and hours | Fare (two-ride card / personal card) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2-41 | Bodrum town garage to Yalıkavak (about 23 km) | About every 25–30 min. From Bodrum 07:05–23:30 on weekdays (07:30 at weekends); from Yalıkavak 06:40–22:30 | ₺101 / ₺80 from the town garage; ₺115 / ₺89 from the new bus station |
| 2-46 | Bodrum town garage via Torba and Gölköy to Türkbükü (about 26 km) | About every 30–45 min. From Bodrum 07:40–23:00 on weekdays; from Göltürkbükü 07:00–22:00; 22 trips each way at weekends | ₺87 / ₺68 to the Türkbükü entrance; ₺70 / ₺56 to the Gölköy junction |
| 2-37 | Göltürkbükü to Turgutreis via Gündoğan, Yalıkavak and Gümüşlük (about 35 km) | 16 trips a day each way, every day. From Göltürkbükü 07:15–20:00 | ₺87 / ₺68 from Gölköy to Yalıkavak |
Timetables change between seasons and by day. Check the line pages on ulasim.muttas.com.tr before you travel. Winter hours are usually shorter, so check again if you travel outside summer.
To Türkbükü and Gölköy
Line 2-46 is the simplest public route, because it calls at Torba. Its stop list runs from the town garage through Torba to Gölköy and Türkbükü, with several stops along Torba's main road. Only trips marked on the timetable drive into the bus station itself; the others pass outside it, so ask at the station or the driver where to wait. The fare table is written from the town garage, so ask what you will be charged when boarding at Torba. Some trips begin 15 minutes earlier from Hekimköy, beyond Türkbükü, which does not matter if you are travelling out from the airport.
To Yalıkavak
Line 2-41 starts at the town garage and does not list Torba as a stop; the timetable marks only the 15:00 from Bodrum as starting from the bus station. For most arrivals the route is therefore three steps: the airport coach to Torba, ring line 2-81 to the town centre, then the 2-41. The ring line runs every 30 minutes from 07:00 to 23:30, then hourly overnight, and costs ₺59 on a two-ride card (₺28 on a personal card). Add the ₺270 coach and ₺101 dolmuş and the journey is about ₺430 per person. With luggage and a connection in each place, the same trip by car is the easier answer.
Between the Bays
Once you are on the north coast, line 2-37 is useful because it links Göltürkbükü, Yalıkavak, Gümüşlük and Turgutreis without going into Bodrum town. It stops at Gündoğan, Yalıkavak and a stop named Marina Girişi (the marina entrance). It runs about every 45 to 60 minutes, so it suits a planned day trip better than a quick hop.
Taxi
Taxis operate around the clock from marked areas at both terminals, according to the airport website. The airport publishes no taxi price list, so ask the driver to use the meter and confirm the route before you set off. Yalıkavak is 54 km from the airport against 37 km for Bodrum castle, so expect a higher fare than for a trip to the town. The airport's taxi line is +90 252 523 00 24. If you want to know the price in advance, a pre-booked transfer is the simpler choice.
Yalıkavak: Marina, Windmills and Market Days
Yalıkavak lies on the north side of the peninsula. Travel guides describe its marina as a large one with a shopping area around it. The dolmuş lines 2-64 and 2-37 call at the marina entrance.
The municipality's market list gives Yalıkavak three market days, which are worth planning around if you like to shop where locals do.
- Tuesday: fruit and vegetables.
- Thursday: clothing.
- Saturday: second-hand market.
Travel guides also mention old windmills on the hills around the village. Ask locally for the best way up. The municipal beach list names about ten public beaches in Yalıkavak and neighbouring Geriş, open from 1 June to 30 September in 2026. The airport's own visitor page names Yalıkavak as one of the best places on the peninsula to watch the sunset.
Local line 2-64 runs between Yalıkavak and Gümüşkaya about once an hour, from 07:30 to 22:15, for ₺59 on a two-ride card. It is a local link between the village and Gümüşkaya.
Türkbükü and Gölköy: Market Days and Beaches
Türkbükü and Gölköy are neighbouring bays on the north coast, and the municipality treats them as one neighbourhood called Göltürkbükü. That is why the dolmuş line, the timetable and the fare table all use the single name. That is also why our transfer price is shared: from €40 per vehicle for the Türkbükü and Gölköy area.
The municipal market list has a Türkbükü market on Monday and a Gölköy produce market on Tuesday. It lists a Blue Flag public beach in each bay, open from 1 June to 30 September in 2026. The list covers the summer season, so check locally if you travel in spring or autumn. Because the two bays share one dolmuş line, you can base yourself in either and ride to the other.
If You Are Flying Into İzmir Instead
Bodrum Airport is the closest airport to the north coast, but not the only option. We also run private transfers from İzmir Airport to Yalıkavak, which can be worth comparing if your flight options are better there. It is a longer drive than from BJV, so choose it for the flight, not for the road. See our İzmir Airport to Yalıkavak page, the return Yalıkavak to İzmir Airport page, and the İzmir Airport guide.
Planning Your Arrival and Departure
- Late flights: the last dolmuş from Bodrum town on lines 2-41 and 2-46 leaves at 23:30 and 23:00 on weekdays, but you must first reach the town. After an evening or international flight, book a transfer.
- Early flights home: the dolmuş lines start between about 06:40 and 07:15, so for a morning departure book a pickup at your accommodation the day before.
- Summer: allow extra time on the road to the north coast in July and August.
- Cash and cards: MUTTAŞ line pages say you can pay on board by bank card, but keep some lira for small purchases at markets.
The other resorts on the peninsula are covered in our Bodrum Airport guide, the guide to Bodrum town, Gümbet and Bitez and the guide to Turgutreis and Gümüşlük. You can see all fares and book on our Muğla Airport Transfer page.
