Dalaman Airport (DLM) in Muğla province is the gateway to Turkey's south-west coast, but hardly anyone stays near it: Dalaman town is 7 km away (minibus 8-11, from ≈€0.75 / ₺42), Göcek 24 km, Fethiye 55 km, Ölüdeniz 66 km and Marmaris 96 km. Arriving at Dalaman Airport: good to know
- Two terminals: one for domestic flights (İç Hatlar) and one for international flights (Dış Hatlar). The T1 and T2 numbering is used inconsistently, so check with your airline.
- No coach timetable from the airport: the coaches meet domestic flights and leave once those passengers are on board, so after an international flight you may have to wait. Ask airport staff where they leave from.
- Taxis wait at the rank to the left of the terminal exit around the clock. For short trips to Göcek, Dalyan and Sarıgerme, a taxi is usually the simplest and cheapest door-to-door option.
- Busy summers: about 89,000 passengers in January 2026, almost 987,000 in August. From roughly April to October, charter flights land in waves and passport control, the taxi rank and the coaches fill up at once.
- Private transfer: your driver meets you just outside the arrivals exit and, once you land, contacts you on WhatsApp with the exact meeting point and a short video.
- Staying in Bodrum? Dalaman is the wrong airport: Bodrum is about 200 km and almost 3 hours away, while Milas–Bodrum Airport (BJV) is less than 50 km from the town.
Which option suits you?
Solo or with light luggage: the airport coach is the budget choice for Göcek, Fethiye and Marmaris, especially if you arrive on a domestic flight. For Ölüdeniz and Hisarönü, add dolmuş 3-40 from right next to Fethiye bus station: it's cheap and frequent, but the minibuses fill up and have little room for big suitcases.
Families, groups and heavy luggage: one Mercedes Vito takes up to 6 passengers with luggage, from €53 to Ölüdeniz or from €77 to Marmaris per vehicle, straight to your hotel, villa or marina. On the longer runs, compare it with the airport taxi: at current prices a pre-booked transfer often costs no more.
Late arrivals: the last minibus 8-11 leaves at 17:20, the dolmuş to Ölüdeniz runs until around midnight, and coaches only leave when a domestic flight lands. After a late international flight, that leaves the 24-hour taxi rank or a pre-booked transfer whose driver tracks your flight, which helps most when several charter flights land at once.
