Arriving at Dalaman Airport at Night: Taxi, Bus, Transfer
Short answer: the taxi rank to the left of the Dalaman Airport exit works 24 hours a day, and the cooperative's list has no night rate. The Havaş and MUTTAŞ coaches meet domestic flights only, with no timetable, so after a late international landing you cannot count on one. The airport minibus 8-11 to Dalaman town makes its last run at 17:20. A private transfer follows your flight and meets you just outside the arrivals exit at any hour, from €50 to Göcek or Dalyan, €55 to Fethiye and €96 to Marmaris per vehicle. Kaş is about 2 h 20 min away, so plan the last leg before you fly.

Many flights reach Dalaman (DLM) late, and the airport is a long way from most places people stay. This guide covers what still runs after dark, what the taxi list costs, how far each resort is, what is open at the airport and how to get into a villa or hotel at 3 am. Today all flights, domestic and international, use Terminal 2; the older Terminal 1 is not in use for passenger flights.
Arriving at Dalaman at Night: All Options at a Glance
| Option | Where | At night | Price (2026) | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Airport coach (Havaş or MUTTAŞ) | The car-park area in front of Terminal 2 | Meets domestic arrivals, no timetable; not for international flights | Göcek ≈€4 (₺220), Fethiye ≈€5.50 (₺300), Marmaris ≈€7.50 (₺420) per person | A domestic landing, with a bus station in Göcek, Fethiye or Marmaris within reach of your bed |
| Minibus 8-11 | Departures floor | No: last run 17:20 | Daytime only | Dalaman town in daylight |
| Taxi | Rank to the left of the terminal exit | Yes, 24 hours; no night rate | Göcek ≈€25 (₺1,400), Fethiye ≈€54 (₺3,000), Marmaris ≈€90 (₺5,000) per car | Door to door without booking |
| Private transfer | Just outside the arrivals exit | Any hour, flight tracked | from €50 per vehicle to Göcek, from €55 to Fethiye | Families, groups, villas and delayed flights |
| Hire car | Rental desks and pick-up point at the terminal | Car rental is available 24 hours | Set by the rental company | Confident drivers who know the roads |
Coach fares are per person, one way. Taxi prices are the cooperative's list prices for the whole car, at the time of writing. A transfer is priced per vehicle (Mercedes Vito, up to 6 passengers), not per person, and the exact price for your date and pickup time is shown before you pay.
Airport Coaches After Dark
Two operators, Havaş and MUTTAŞ, run coaches on the same two routes: Fethiye (through Göcek) and Marmaris (through Ortaca, Köyceğiz and the Gökova junction). They leave from the parking area at the airport. There is no timetable from the airport, and tickets are not sold in advance. MUTTAŞ states that its vehicles meet passengers from domestic flights at every domestic landing time, and Havaş says its shuttle is available for all domestic flights. So a coach can be there at 02:00 if a domestic flight lands then, and early departures towards the airport, such as 03:15 from Marmaris, show that the lines run in the small hours.
The coaches are timed to domestic arrivals. After an international flight, do not count on one: it may be gone, or you may have to wait for the next domestic landing. Treat the coach as a bonus and have a taxi or transfer as your plan.
- Journey times (Havaş): about 30 minutes to Göcek, 60 to Fethiye and 90 to Marmaris.
- Fares: ≈€4 (₺220) to Göcek and Ortaca, ≈€5.50 (₺300) to Fethiye bus station and ≈€7.50 (₺420) to Marmaris bus station. MUTTAŞ says cards are valid on all its vehicles; plan to pay by bank card, and carry some lira in case.
Be realistic about the last mile. A coach that reaches Fethiye or Marmaris bus station at 01:30 leaves you there with local dolmuş services mostly finished. The Fethiye to Ölüdeniz dolmuş (line 3-40), for example, leaves Fethiye for the last time at about midnight. For a bed in Ölüdeniz, Çalış, İçmeler or Turunç you then need a taxi from the bus station anyway. There is no airport coach to Dalyan, Kalkan, Kaş or Muğla city. The Dalaman Airport bus guide has the daytime details.
Minibus 8-11 and Dalaman Town: Not a Night Option
Minibus 8-11 is the only local link between the airport and Dalaman town. From the airport it leaves at 07:50, 08:50, 10:20, 12:20, 13:50, 15:20 and 17:20, every day. The 17:20 is the last, so anyone landing in the evening has missed it. Passengers board from the Departures floor.
If a taxi takes you to Dalaman town (the cooperative lists Dalaman / Akkaya at ≈€22 / ₺1,200 and Ortaca at ≈€18 / ₺1,000), a few bus lines still leave Dalaman late, at the time of writing:
- Dalaman to Fethiye (line 48-2, via Göcek): last departures at 21:30, 22:15, 23:15 and 01:45.
- Dalaman to Marmaris (line 48-13): last departures at 20:40, 21:45 and 22:45.
These lines seldom help after a night landing: the taxi to Dalaman costs nearly as much as a ride to Göcek, and timetables change by season, so check the MUTTAŞ site first.
Taxis at Night: There Is No Night Rate
Taxi service at the airport is run by the Dalaman Airport Taxi Cooperative. The rank is to the left of the terminal exit and works 24 hours a day, and the cooperative publishes one list with prices per car and no separate night column, so there is no night rate. The list is a set of fares for named destinations; whether the cars use a meter is not stated, so do not assume one. Agree the destination and the exact address before you leave, and the fee is paid when you arrive. Cards are not mentioned, so carry enough lira.
The list also has Sarıgerme at ≈€20 (₺1,100). Its own distance figures run higher than Google's, so use it for prices only. Our transfer, per vehicle, is the comparison:
| From DLM to | Road distance (Google) | Taxi list price (per car) | Our private transfer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Göcek | 19.7 km, about 30 min | ≈€25 (₺1,400) | from €50 |
| Dalyan | about 30 km, 35–40 min | ≈€30 (₺1,650) | from €50 |
| Fethiye | about 55 km, about 55 min | ≈€54 (₺3,000) | from €55 |
| Çalış | 43.8 km, about 50 min | No separate row | from €50 |
| Hisarönü and Ölüdeniz | 58.5 km to Hisarönü, about 1 h 15 min | ≈€63 (₺3,500) | from €58 Hisarönü, €66 Ölüdeniz |
| Akyaka | 71.8 km, about 1 h 15 min | ≈€63 (₺3,500) | from €72 |
| Marmaris | 96.5 km, about 1 h 35 min | ≈€90 (₺5,000) | from €96 |
| İçmeler | 104 km, about 1 h 50 min | ≈€94 (₺5,200) | from €104 |
| Turunç | 116.6 km, about 2 h 10 min | ≈€110 (₺6,000) | from €117 |
| Kalkan | 121.9 km, about 1 h 50 min | ≈€115 (₺6,500) | from €122 |
| Kaş | 148.9 km, about 2 h 20 min | ≈€145 (₺8,000) | from €149 |
Road distances and times are from Google Maps in normal traffic; Dalyan and Fethiye are approximate. Taxi prices are the cooperative's list per car at the time of writing, and a standard car takes up to 4 passengers; five or six people need two. Ask whether any road toll is included before you set off. The full list is in our Dalaman Airport taxi prices guide.
Use only the official rank. In an emergency the number is 112.
Landing Late With a Bed Far Away
Nearly everywhere beyond Göcek is a long drive. Göcek, Ortaca, Sarıgerme and Dalyan are 30 to 40 minutes away, so a taxi or transfer is simple, and the coach covers Göcek and Ortaca after a domestic landing. Fethiye, Çalış, Hisarönü, Ölüdeniz and Ovacık are about an hour to an hour and a quarter away; the coach reaches Fethiye bus station, but the last dolmuş to Ölüdeniz is at about midnight. Marmaris, İçmeler, Turunç and Akyaka take one and a half to two hours or more, and Kalkan, Kaş and Datça two hours or more. For these, a transfer is the sensible choice if you want your own bed before dawn. If you arrive very late for Kaş or Kalkan, consider a first night in Fethiye and moving on in daylight.

What Is Open at the Airport at Night
- Park Cafe: in the car park in front of the terminal, open 24 hours for passengers and greeters.
- Help: the first-aid clinic is open 24 hours, with an ambulance on standby in front of the terminal. The Lost and Found Office is also open 24 hours. If a bag does not arrive, report it to your airline's lost-baggage desk in the baggage claim area before you leave. The airport's phone number is +90 252 792 55 55.
- Prayer rooms: on the arrivals and departures floors, open at all hours.
- Money: the ATMs are on the forecourt next to the taxi rank, and there are two exchange offices on the arrivals floor. The airport does not publish their opening hours, so withdraw lira from the ATM outside the exit rather than count on an office at 3 am.
- Food: the only arrivals-floor outlet listed is a McDonald's kiosk, with no published hours. Park Cafe is the one place open round the clock.
- SIM cards: the airport's shop list and map show no mobile-operator shop, so buy a SIM or set up an eSIM before you fly.
- Wi-Fi: 30 minutes are free (network DLM-Free-WiFi). Get a password with your passport, and your boarding pass, at a kiosk; there is one before international passport control and one in the domestic baggage claim hall.
Private Transfer: A Driver Who Follows Your Flight
A private transfer is the one option that does not depend on your landing time. Your driver tracks your flight and waits just outside the arrivals exit. After you land, they send you the exact meeting point and a short video on WhatsApp, and drivers speak English. If the flight is late, the pickup moves with it, with no extra charge for traffic or flight delays. Tour-operator staff work at the welcome desks in the car park beyond the exit: go only with the driver who has messaged you. Prices are per vehicle (Mercedes Vito, up to 6 passengers), shown before you pay, with child seats on request, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup.
Your phone needs data or the airport Wi-Fi to receive the WhatsApp message, so sort out an eSIM or roaming before a night flight. Our 24/7 line is +90 544 102 1414. For the walk from the baggage hall to the car park, see Meeting your driver at Dalaman Airport.
Villa Addresses, Keys and Late Check-In
- Villas: villas outside the towns are often hard to find by street name in the dark. Send us the owner's Google Maps pin when you book, not just the address, and save the owner's or agent's phone number offline. Ask who hands over the keys and whether they will be awake when you arrive.
- Hotels: tell the hotel your flight number and that you will arrive after midnight. Book the right night: if you land at 01:30 on the 16th, the room has to be booked from the 15th. Hotels in Turkey ask for your passport at check-in, even at 3 am.
- Children: ask for child seats when you book the transfer. A taxi from the rank may not have one, so for small children a pre-booked car is easier.
- If something goes wrong: if you cannot find your driver, or your bag has not arrived and you will be late, message us on WhatsApp. We can tell the driver and adjust the pickup.
