Dalaman Airport to Göcek: Transfer, Bus and the Marinas
Short answer: Göcek is the closest resort to Dalaman Airport (DLM), about 20 to 24 km and 30 minutes by road. A private transfer costs from €50 per vehicle (Mercedes Vito, up to 6 passengers). The airport taxi list fare is ≈€25 (₺1,400) per car. The cheapest way is the Havaş or MUTTAŞ airport coach at ≈€4 (₺220) per person, but it leaves when domestic flights land and stops on the main road, not at the marina. For a yacht or gulet, a door-to-marina transfer saves the last stretch with your bags.

Göcek is a small harbour town on a pine-fringed bay, and its marinas are where many of the south-west coast's yacht and gulet charters begin. It is also a short drive from the airport, so most people who come here are heading for a boat. This guide covers each way to get from Dalaman Airport to Göcek and the marinas, what to expect when you arrive with luggage for a yacht, and how the 12 Islands boat trips work.
Ways to Get from Dalaman Airport to Göcek
| Option | Time | Cost | Goes to | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer | About 30 min | From €50 per vehicle | Your hotel, villa or marina | Charter groups, families, luggage, late arrivals |
| Airport taxi | About 30 min | ≈€25 (₺1,400) per car (list fare) | Any address in Göcek | Arriving without a booking |
| Havaş / MUTTAŞ airport coach (line 48-25) | About 30 min, but it waits for domestic flights | ≈€4 (₺220) per person | Two stops on the main road, no marina stop | One or two people with light bags |
Road times are without hold-ups; allow more in July and August. Transfer prices are per vehicle, and the exact price for your date and pickup time is shown before you pay. Coach and taxi fares were checked on 25 October 2026 and can change.
Private Transfer
Our driver tracks your flight, so there is no extra charge for traffic or flight delays. The driver waits just outside the arrivals exit, and once you have landed sends you the exact meeting point and a short video on WhatsApp. Our drivers speak English. The price is from €50 per vehicle, not per person, which makes it a sensible split for a group of four to six heading to the same boat. Child seats are available on request. We also have a V-Class VIP, and a Sprinter for larger groups.
When you book, give us the name of the marina or hotel, and your yacht or charter company if you have it. If you need a particular drop-off point, or a stop on the way, ask us on WhatsApp before booking. You can book the return to the airport at the same time. Compare all routes on our transfer prices page, or book on our Dalaman Airport Transfer page.
Airport Taxi
Taxis wait at the rank to the left of the terminal exit around the clock. The Dalaman Airport Taxi Cooperative publishes a list fare of ≈€25 (₺1,400) per car to Göcek, with no night rate, and a higher one to İnlice beach. Agree the price and your exact address before you set off. After a wave of charter flights the rank can have a queue, which is the main reason to pre-book.
Havaş and MUTTAŞ Airport Coach
Havaş and MUTTAŞ, the Muğla municipal transport company, run coaches along the same route between the airport, Göcek and Fethiye bus station. The fare to Göcek is ≈€4 (₺220) per person, VAT included, on the MUTTAŞ fare sheet valid from 18 May 2026. It is ≈€5.50 (₺300) if you stay on to Fethiye.
There is no timetable from the airport. The coaches meet domestic flights, so after an international landing you may have to wait for the next one, and seats cannot be reserved. In Göcek the stops are on the main road, at the BP petrol station and opposite the Petrol Ofisi station. There is no stop at the marina, so you will need a short taxi ride or a walk with your bags. Plan to pay by bank card.
Coaches to the airport are different: they run to set times that change from day to day, and the line 48-25 page on the MUTTAŞ site lists departures from Fethiye bus station. Check it the day before you fly, and ask where the coach calls in Göcek. Our Dalaman Airport to Fethiye and Marmaris guide explains how the coaches work in more detail.
Which Option Suits You?
- Joining a charter with luggage, or travelling as a group: a private transfer, booked in advance, to the marina entrance.
- Landing late, or on an international flight: a private transfer or the taxi rank, which works around the clock. The coach only meets domestic flights.
- Travelling light and on a budget: the airport coach, then a taxi from the main road if your hotel or boat is in the marina.
- Staying a few days and visiting Fethiye: arrive by transfer or taxi, then use the dolmuş described below.
The Marinas
Göcek has around half a dozen marinas along its bays, so check which one your yacht or charter company uses before you book.
- D-Marin Göcek: the operator's website says it hosts up to 388 yachts, with services for superyachts up to 85 m, in a pine forest on Göcek Bay, and puts it 20 minutes from Dalaman International Airport.
- Club Marina: a second marina with its own website (clubmarina.com.tr).
- Others: directories also list two Marintürk marinas, Skopea Marina and the municipal marina. Your charter company will tell you which one holds your boat.
Göcek lies inside the Fethiye–Göcek Special Environmental Protection Area, declared in June 1988, which the Ministry of Environment calls Turkey's first such zone. As it is a protected area, follow the guidance of your skipper or charter company on the bays.
Arriving with Luggage for a Yacht or Gulet
Many visitors go straight from the airport to a boat, and a few practical points make the first hour easier.
- Know the marina and the boat. Send us the marina name and the yacht or charter company when you book. A hotel address is not enough if the boat is at a marina.
- Check the boarding time. Your charter company sets the check-in time and where to meet. If your flight lands well before it, ask them whether you can leave luggage or board early.
- Pack soft bags if you can. Boat cabins and lockers are small, and a soft holdall is easier to stow than a hard suitcase.
- Allow for the walk. Even from the marina entrance you may have a walk along the pontoon, so ask the charter company how close a vehicle can get.
- Shopping on the way. If you want to stock up before boarding, ask us on WhatsApp before booking, so we can tell you what is possible.
Arriving by coach, the stops on the main road are a taxi ride from the marinas. A private transfer avoids that change and leaves you at the entrance you give us.
12 Islands Boat Trips
The 12 Islands trip is the standard day out from Göcek: a boat takes you around the islands of the bay, with swim stops. Shared day boats usually leave around 10:00 to 10:30 and return around 17:00, with lunch normally included. Tour operators sell the trip online and in town, and private gulets can be hired for a day. There is no official price list, and prices vary by operator, boat size and season, so compare a few quotes. The season usually runs from about May to October, so check with the operator if you travel outside those months.
Bring a hat, sun cream and a towel, and check what the price includes before you pay. If you are renting a whole gulet for several days, your charter company arranges the route.
Getting Around Göcek and Beyond
Once you are in Göcek, these are the public links for getting further:
- İnlice public beach: served by the Fethiye–Göcek dolmuş. The runs marked on the MUTTAŞ timetable go to the stops "İnlice Plaj" and "Göcek–İnlice Halk Plajı".
- Fethiye by dolmuş (line 3-50): on weekdays it runs from Fethiye about every 30 to 60 minutes between 07:10 and 22:30, and from Göcek between 06:30 and 22:30. Weekends are thinner, roughly hourly. The fare from Fethiye Köyler Garajı to Göcek is ₺130 on the two-ride Muğla Kart at the time of writing (₺103 on a personal card), and cards are accepted on all vehicles.
- Dalyan: reached from the airport rather than from Göcek, with a coach to Ortaca and a dolmuş. See our Dalaman Airport to Dalyan guide.
- Fethiye and Ölüdeniz: the Where to Stay Near Dalaman guide compares the resorts, and the Ölüdeniz Blue Lagoon guide covers the beach.
Planning Your Arrival and Departure
Dalaman is very seasonal. Roughly from April to October charter flights land in waves, and passport control, the taxi rank and the coaches get busy at once. A pre-booked driver is waiting when you walk out, which matters most if you land late or after an international flight, when no coach is waiting.
For the return, a transfer from Göcek to the airport takes about the same 30 minutes. Allow extra time for the airport in peak season, since the airport recommends checking in 2 hours before domestic and 3 hours before international flights. For the airport itself, see our Dalaman Airport guide.
