From Fethiye, Dalaman Airport lies to the east, past Göcek. "Fethiye" on a booking can mean the town and its harbour, the Çalış seafront, or the villages on the hill road towards Ölüdeniz. Each one starts the trip at a different distance, and on the hill road the public transport that works in the daytime stops at night.

Make sure your hotel is in the Hisarönü of Fethiye district, above Ölüdeniz: a village with the same name lies near Marmaris, on the other side of the airport.

Night and Dawn Departures
The airport coach leaves Fethiye bus station at fixed times that change from day to day, on some days as early as 03:45; look them up the day before. Getting to the bus station is the hard part. Dolmuş 3-40 links Ölüdeniz, Hisarönü and Ovacık with Fethiye from about 06:50 until midnight, the last one leaving Ölüdeniz at 00:35, so nothing public brings you down the hill for a pre-dawn coach. For an early-morning flight, the realistic choices are a taxi your hotel orders the evening before or a car booked for a set time.

The airport taxi list, which covers trips from the airport only, shows ≈€54 (₺3,000) per car to Fethiye and ≈€63 (₺3,500) to Hisarönü or Ölüdeniz, close to what the meter gives. Ask your hotel to agree the fare when it orders the car. There is no night rate.
- When the coach is enough: one or two travellers with light bags, staying in Fethiye town, on a daytime flight. From Ölüdeniz add the dolmuş, ≈€2 (₺115) per person, which has little room for big suitcases in summer.
- When a taxi is fine: up to four people with ordinary luggage; for one car the taxi and our price are of the same order.
- When the car wins: five or six people, who would need two taxis; a family with child seats; a pre-dawn pickup on the hill road; or a villa with no street name. A Mercedes Vito takes 6 passengers and 7 suitcases.
Pickup at a Hotel, Villa or Apartment Above the Bay
Our driver comes to the hotel entrance at the booked time and contacts you on WhatsApp on arrival. Be in the lobby a few minutes early with your luggage, then the driver loads the bags and drops you at the departures level.
- Çalış: give the hotel name and the street when you book. Çalış is a district of its own on the edge of Fethiye, and the price and the route follow your exact address.
- Hisarönü and Ovacık: the two villages sit side by side on the road that climbs towards Ölüdeniz. If your hotel is on a narrow lane or a pedestrian street, say so in the booking notes and the driver tells you where to meet nearby.
- Villas: send the address or a map pin when you book, so the driver can plan the last stretch in the dark.
East on the D400 via Göcek
From the town the car joins the bypass at the Çalış junction, runs east through Günlükbaşı and the Çiftlik junction, then past Yanıklar to Göcek. At Göcek the D400 goes through a short toll tunnel of about 950 metres; an older road over the pass also exists. From there it is about 30 minutes to the terminal. From Ölüdeniz and Hisarönü the trip first comes down the hill road into Fethiye.
The road is rarely what makes people late. From roughly April to October charter flights leave in waves, and check-in and security fill up together. Allow more in July and August. All flights now use Terminal 2, so there is only one departures entrance to find.
Booking, Paying and Changes
Search from your address with the date, time, passengers and bags. Every vehicle that fits is shown with its price for the whole vehicle, with no extra charge for traffic or flight delays, and the trip to the airport costs the same as the trip from it. Child seats are five euros per seat (child seats). Cancelling is free up to 24 hours before pickup; from 6 to 24 hours before, up to 50% of the one-way price is charged, and under 6 hours the full price may be charged. Date and time changes are possible until 24 hours before pickup (cancel or change). If you have not landed yet, book both ways together: the return part gets a discount.
