Your pickup at Grand Hyatt Istanbul

On the day, your driver waits at the hotel entrance on Taşkışla Caddesi, puts your luggage in the car and takes you to the departures level, close to your airline's check-in area.

Walking to Taksim: Havaist and metro
Both public routes start at Taksim, on level ground from the hotel:
- Havaist HVL-9: walk about 550 m, around seven minutes, to the stop on the north side of the square. The fare is ₺470 with an Istanbulkart, the Havaist app or an online ticket, or ₺590 with a contactless bank card; no cash. Our Havaist guide lists the departures.
- Metro: walk about 430 m to the north entrance of Taksim station, ride the M2 towards Hacıosman for three stops to Gayrettepe and change to the M11, which reaches the airport in about 30 minutes. The M11 doesn't run overnight.

Taxi from the hotel

🛫 Grand Hyatt Istanbul to Istanbul Airport: when to leave for your flight
The drive takes about 40 minutes without traffic. Most airlines ask you to be at the airport about 3 hours before an international flight and 2 hours before a domestic one, so from Grand Hyatt Istanbul plan a pickup about 4–4¼ hours before an international flight and 3–3¼ hours before a domestic flight. Always follow your own airline’s advice.
Example: for an international flight at 14:00, book your pickup for between about 09:45 and 10:00.

- Drop-off: the departures level (upper floor) of the terminal, at the entrance nearest your airline’s check-in area.
- Traffic: Istanbul traffic is heaviest on weekday mornings (about 07:00–10:00) and evenings (about 17:00–20:00), and on the bridges between the Asian and European sides; leave earlier at those times.
- At the airport: At Istanbul Airport there is a security check at the terminal entrance, before check-in, and the walk to the furthest gates can be long.
