Grand Hyatt Istanbul is on Taşkışla Caddesi in Harbiye, a few minutes' walk north-east of Taksim Square. From Istanbul Airport (IST) it is about 43 km by road, roughly 45 minutes with no traffic and up to an hour and a half at peak times, all on the European side of the city.
Public transport works well here, because both the Havaist coach and the M2 metro stop at Taksim, a short walk away. If you'd rather not walk with your bags, a private transfer takes you from just outside the arrivals exit to the hotel door, for one price per vehicle that you see before you pay.

Havaist HVL-9 to Taksim, then a short walk
The hotel's own transport page points guests to the Havaist coach, and it is a good fit: HVL-9 ends at Taksim, about 550 m from the hotel.
- From the arrivals floor, go down to floor -2 of the terminal and find HVL-9 at platform 16.
- Pay ₺470 with an Istanbulkart, the Havaist app or an online ticket, or ₺590 with a contactless bank card. Cash isn't accepted. Don't board HVL-11, which goes to Sabiha Gökçen.
- Ride to the end of the line on the north side of Taksim Square. Havaist gives the journey as about 90 minutes.
- Walk about 550 m, around seven minutes on the flat, to the hotel on Taşkışla Caddesi.
HVL-9 also runs through the night, with departures from the airport at 00:30, 01:15, 02:15 and 04:30, so even a late arrival can end with a short walk. Our Havaist guide has the daytime timetable.
By metro
Take the M11 from the station under the terminal to Gayrettepe (about 30 minutes) and change to the M2 towards Yenikapı for three stops: Şişli-Mecidiyeköy, Osmanbey and Taksim. Use the north exit on the Gezi Park side (Cumhuriyet Caddesi) and walk about 430 m, roughly six minutes, to the hotel. Allow an hour to an hour and a quarter in all. The M11 doesn't run overnight. Booking a private transfer to Grand Hyatt Istanbul
Give us your flight number and the hotel name when you book. We follow the flight, so your pickup moves with any delay. After you land, your driver sends a WhatsApp message with the exact meeting point and a short video, and waits just outside the arrivals exit; airport rules in Türkiye don't allow drivers to wait inside the terminal.
The drive follows the airport road and the O-2 ring road to Hasdal, then Piyalepaşa Bulvarı and Elmadağ. The hotel stands on one-way Taşkışla Caddesi rather than on the pedestrianised square, and a driveway leads in from the street, so the car can take you to the entrance.

Taxi from Istanbul Airport to Grand Hyatt
The yellow taxi tariff is ₺71.94 to start and ₺47.92 per km, with a minimum fare of ₺230 and no night rate. For the 43 km to Harbiye that adds up to about ₺2,100, or up to about ₺2,500 on the longer northern motorway route, plus any tolls and time spent in slow traffic.

About Grand Hyatt Istanbul and its surroundings
The hotel opened in 1993 as the Hyatt Regency Istanbul, the first Hyatt in Türkiye, and became the Grand Hyatt Istanbul on 1 December 2009. Its address is Taşkışla Caddesi 1, Harbiye, Şişli.
Besides the metro and the Havaist stop, the Taşkışla station of the TF1 cable car is only about 270 m away. Opened in 1993, it crosses to Maçka in a few minutes and runs from 08:00 to 19:00. The nearest city bus stop, Gümüşsuyu, is about 230 m from the hotel.
