- Walk about 940 m along Necatibey and Tersane Caddesi to the Azapkapı end of M2 Haliç. It's level all the way.
- Take the M2 towards Hacıosman five stops to Gayrettepe.
- Change to the M11 and ride about 30 minutes to the station under the airport terminal.
For a shorter walk, take the Tünel funicular from Karaköy, about 310 m away, up to Şişhane and join the M2 there. For Havaist, ride the T1 three stops to Kabataş and the F1 up to Taksim, where HVL-9 leaves for the airport (₺470 with an Istanbulkart or the app, ₺590 by contactless bank card, no cash).
