Bodrum to Bodrum Airport: Pickup Times and Your Terminal
Short answer: Bodrum Airport is not in Bodrum: from the castle it is 36.6 km and about 41 minutes by road, from Gümbet about 44 minutes and from Bitez about 47. Our private car costs from €40 per vehicle (Mercedes Vito, up to 6 passengers), not per person. For an international flight, leave about 4–4¼ hours before departure; for a domestic flight, 3–3¼ hours.

The airport's full name is Milas–Bodrum, and it sits inland in Milas district, on the main road between the two towns. That surprises people who see the castle from their balcony and expect a short hop. The drive is under an hour, but the airport has two separate terminals, and the cheap coach does not serve the international one, so a little planning saves a rushed morning.
Domestic or International Terminal? Check Before You Book
International and domestic flights at Milas–Bodrum use separate terminals, each with its own check-in, and the two buildings are reported to be roughly a kilometre apart. Look at your booking or boarding pass, tell us the terminal and the flight number, and our driver drops you at the departures level of the right building. If your journey home starts with a domestic flight, for example to Istanbul, check the terminal on your boarding pass.
Pickup Times for Bodrum Town, Gümbet and Bitez
The window allows 3 hours at the airport for an international flight (2 hours for domestic), the 41–47 minute drive, and a margin on top of the drive for traffic. Your airline's own advice comes first if it asks for more.

Flights Before Breakfast
Public transport is thin before dawn. The Gümbet dolmuş (2-52) runs from 06:45 to midnight and the Bitez dolmuş (2-48) starts at 07:00 from Bitez. Ring line 2-81 runs hourly through the night, but only between the town garage and the bus station at Torba. The airport coach runs only for domestic flights, leaving Bodrum about two hours before departure from the Torba junction underpass and Güvercinlik, at times that change daily. For an early international flight the realistic options are a taxi your hotel books the evening before or a car booked for the time you set.

Taxi, Coach or Our Car From Bodrum
- Our private transfer: from €40 per vehicle from the town, door to the departures level of your terminal, at any hour. A Mercedes Vito takes 6 passengers and 7 suitcases; the VIP Vito, a Mercedes V-Class, 4 and 5.
- Taxi: taxis are metered and there is no night rate. Our pages publish no Bodrum taxi fares, so ask your hotel for an estimate when it books the car, and check that the meter is on.
- Airport coach (MUTTAŞ line 48-24 or Havaş): a single fare per person, payable by card, from Torba or Güvercinlik. It serves domestic flights only, and MUTTAŞ says it does not stop at the international terminal.
When the coach is enough: one or two people with light bags, flying domestic in the daytime, and staying in Torba or able to get there easily. From Gümbet or Bitez it means a dolmuş and the ring bus first.
When a taxi is fine: a couple or small group with ordinary bags who are happy with a meter fare.
When the car wins: any international flight before the dolmuş starts; a family with child seats; five or six people, who would need two taxis; or a group up to 15 in a Sprinter. Gümbet and Bitez are a few kilometres further than the town, but the from-price is the same.
Leaving a Hotel in Town, Gümbet or Bitez
The town wraps around two harbours either side of the castle, with Gümbet on the next bay west, past the windmill hill, and Bitez a little further along. Give us your hotel name and street when you book; that is how the driver finds the right entrance among the bays.
- On the day: our driver comes to the hotel entrance at the booked time and contacts you on WhatsApp on arrival. Be in the lobby a few minutes early with your luggage.
- Lanes and pedestrian streets: if your hotel or apartment is on a street cars cannot reach, write it in the booking notes and the driver tells you where to meet nearby.
- A particular pickup point: if you would rather meet somewhere other than the hotel entrance, ask us on WhatsApp before booking.
The Road Inland to Milas
From the town the road runs past Torba, where the new bus station is, and Güvercinlik, then inland on the main Milas–Bodrum road to the airport. It is a short, simple drive, and the main delays are seasonal: our guides advise adding time in July and August and on Friday and Saturday evenings. The trip from the town or Gümbet to the airport takes about the same 41 to 44 minutes as the trip out.
Booking, Paying and Changes
