Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus stands at Çırağan Caddesi 28, on the shore road about 400 m east of Beşiktaş square. From Istanbul Airport (IST) it is about 43 km by road: roughly 45 minutes when traffic is light and up to an hour and a half at busy times. The route stays on the European side, so there is no Bosphorus bridge to cross.

A private transfer is the simplest way to cover that distance. We track your flight, your driver messages you on WhatsApp once you've landed and meets you just outside the arrivals exit, and the car takes you to the hotel entrance with no changes on the way. The price is per vehicle, not per person, and you see it in full before you pay.

Istanbul Airport to the Four Seasons: four ways compared

Being a few minutes from the Beşiktaş transport hub gives this hotel several public options. With suitcases, though, the number of changes is what counts.

Fares as of October 2026. Only a taxi or a booked car takes you to the door.

Havaist and the five-minute walk from Beşiktaş

Some trips on the Havaist HVL-9 coach to Taksim call at Beşiktaş Meydan, only about 400 m from the hotel: a flat five-minute walk east along Çırağan Caddesi.

  1. Boarding: go down to floor -2 of the terminal, platform 16. The fare is ₺470 with an Istanbulkart, the Havaist app or an online ticket, or ₺590 with a contactless bank card; no cash. Don't board HVL-11, which goes to Sabiha Gökçen.
  2. Getting off: if your coach calls at Beşiktaş Meydan, walk from there. Many trips run express to Taksim instead, and on Beşiktaş home-match days none stop at Beşiktaş. From Taksim, city bus DT1 (the fifth stop) or 40/40T goes to the Çırağan stop, about 150 m from the hotel.

Havaist doesn't publish which airport departures stop at Beşiktaş, so treat the short walk as a bonus. Night departures leave at 00:30, 01:15, 02:15 and 04:30, and our Havaist guide has the full timetable.

By metro

The M11 reaches Gayrettepe in about 30 minutes; it doesn't run overnight. Change there to the M2 for three stops to Taksim, take the F1 funicular down to Kabataş and city bus 22 or 22B three stops to Çırağan, about an hour and a half in all. Or leave the M11 one stop earlier, at Kağıthane, ride the M7 four stops to Yıldız and walk 1.4 km (about 19 minutes) downhill to the hotel: fewer changes, but a long way with a suitcase. The M11 metro guide lists the stations.

Booking a private transfer to the Four Seasons

Enter your flight number and the hotel name when you book. We follow the flight in real time, so an early or delayed landing simply moves your pickup. After you land, your driver sends you a WhatsApp message with the exact meeting point and a short video of how to find it, then waits just outside the arrivals exit. Airport rules in Türkiye don't allow drivers to wait inside the terminal.

The route follows the airport road and the O-2 ring road, then Büyükdere Caddesi and Barbaros Bulvarı down to the water at Beşiktaş, a few hundred metres from the hotel.

Vito, Sprinter or VIP

A Mercedes Vito seats up to six people and a Mercedes Sprinter up to 15. For a VIP transfer, the black VIP Vito and VIP Sprinter come with custom-designed interiors. Ask for child or booster seats when you book.

Taxi fares to Four Seasons Bosphorus

Istanbul's yellow taxis charge ₺71.94 at the start and ₺47.92 per km, with a minimum fare of ₺230 and no night rate. Over the roughly 43 km to the hotel the meter usually shows about ₺2,200, and up to about ₺2,700 if the driver takes the longer northern motorway. Tolls and time spent in slow traffic come on top, so a rush-hour ride costs more.

Taxis are due to have card terminals linked to the meter, but that deadline has moved to 16 November 2026, so carry Turkish lira in cash until then. The Istanbul Airport taxi guide explains the tariff in more detail.

Arriving at the hotel on Çırağan Caddesi

The address is Çırağan Caddesi 28, Beşiktaş, on the three-lane road that follows the Bosphorus shore. Your driver brings you to the hotel entrance. Beşiktaş pier, with city ferries to Kadıköy and Üsküdar on the Asian side, is about a six-minute walk away, and the Çırağan bus stop is about 150 m along the road.

The building is older than the hotel. It is a former 19th-century Ottoman palace known as Atik Pasha, built as a secondary residence near the Sultan's principal summer palace on the Bosphorus, and it opened as a Four Seasons hotel in June 2008. The hotel says it runs a complimentary shuttle bus between its two Istanbul hotels, here and in Sultanahmet.

🔁 Going home: Four Seasons Bosphorus back to Istanbul Airport

You can book the way back in the same booking: choose a return trip on the booking form and enter the date and pickup time for your flight home. On the day, your driver waits at your hotel entrance or your address at that time and helps with your luggage.

From Four Seasons Bosphorus the drive back takes about 45 minutes without traffic, so for an international flight choose a pickup about 4–4½ hours before departure, and about 3–3½ hours before a domestic flight. For a flight at 18:00, that means a pickup between about 13:30 and 14:00.

Traffic: Istanbul traffic is heaviest on weekday mornings (about 07:00–10:00) and evenings (about 17:00–20:00), and on the bridges between the Asian and European sides; leave earlier at those times.
