Antalya Airport Arrival Guide: Passport Control, SIM Cards, Money and Transport
Short answer: in 2026 almost every international flight to Antalya Airport (AYT) lands at Terminal 2, and domestic flights use the Domestic terminal. You pass the visa desks and passport control, collect your bags with a free trolley and walk through customs, taking the green channel if you have nothing to declare. Every terminal has ATMs, a Vodafone shop (08:00–23:00) and free Wi-Fi for 1 hour, and the exchange desks at the international terminals are open 24/7. Taxis wait outside every arrivals exit and city buses start at Terminal 2; the tram stop is at the Terminal 1 and Domestic end, a free ring-shuttle ride from Terminal 2.
Your driver waits just outside the arrivals exit · flight tracking · no extra charge for traffic or flight delays · up to 6 passengers · free cancellation up to 24 h

Antalya Airport handled 39.1 million passengers in 2025, and in summer charter flights land in waves, so passport control can be busy. This guide follows your arrival in order, then covers what most visitors sort out on the spot: cash, a SIM or eSIM, Wi-Fi, luggage and the way to the city or your resort.
Which terminal will you arrive at?
Antalya Airport has three passenger terminals: International Terminal 1 (T1), International Terminal 2 (T2) and the Domestic terminal. T1 and the Domestic terminal are joined, so you can walk from one to the other. T2 is about 2.5 km away, roughly 5 minutes by car.
- International flights: in 2026 the airport lists 197 of its 199 airlines at Terminal 2, including TUI fly, Jet2, easyJet, Condor, Eurowings, SunExpress, Pegasus and Turkish Airlines, and on 15 October 2026 its live arrivals board showed every international flight at T2. In summer 2025 some charter flights also used Terminal 1.
- Domestic flights land at the Domestic terminal, shown as "D" on the board.
- Between the terminals: a free ring shuttle runs between T1 and T2. Its stops are in front of the departures level of each terminal. The airport publishes no timetable for it.
The terminal is set per flight, not per airline, so check your flight on the airport's arrivals board or with your airline. It matters most if you plan to take the tram, which only stops at the T1 and Domestic end.
Step by step: from the aircraft to the arrivals exit
- Visa desks: if you need a visa and don't have an e-Visa yet, the visa desks are in the arrivals area, before passport control. See Passport, visa and e-Visa below.
- Passport control: have your passport ready. When several flights land together in summer, the queues can be long. Passengers who booked assistance through their airline or tour operator get priority at a special cabin.
- Baggage reclaim: free trolleys are waiting. The arrival duty-free shops and Global Exchange's 24/7 exchange desks are in the international baggage halls. If your bag is missing or damaged, report it to the lost-and-found office of the ground-handling company that serves your airline (Çelebi, TGS, Havaş or FUGO) before you leave the airport. The airport's own lost and found deals with items left in the terminals.
- Customs: with nothing to declare, take the green channel. If you carry more than the allowances below, or anything restricted, go through the red channel and declare it.
- Out through the arrivals exit: tour-operator welcome counters are just outside the terminal, and the taxi rank is in front of the arrivals exit. A pre-booked transfer driver waits just outside the arrivals exit.

Passport, visa and e-Visa
Entry rules depend on your nationality, so check the rules for your passport on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website before you travel. For example, holders of ordinary passports from Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Poland, the UK, Ireland, the USA, Canada and Australia can visit as tourists for up to 90 days without a visa (for most of them within any 180-day period), and Russian Federation ordinary passport holders for up to 60 days. Other nationalities may need a visa.
- e-Visa: if you need a visa for tourism or business, apply at evisa.gov.tr, the only official e-Visa website. The ministry says e-Visa fees are lower than the fees for visas obtained on arrival at Turkish airports.
- Visa desks at the airport: they are in the arrivals area, before passport control. Whether you can get a visa on arrival depends on your nationality, so check before you fly.
- Passport validity: under Turkish law, your passport must be valid for at least 60 days beyond the permitted stay of your visa, e-Visa or visa exemption: 150 days in total for a 90-day stay. Some nationalities are exempt from this rule. The ministry also advises a passport valid for at least six months from your arrival date.
Customs allowances
What you may bring into Türkiye duty-free, per passenger, according to the Ministry of Trade's 2026 page. Tobacco and alcohol allowances apply from age 18, and the ministry says each one can be used separately.
| Item | Allowance |
|---|---|
| Gifts and goods for personal use | Up to €430 in value (€150 for children under 15) |
| Cigarettes | 600 |
| Cigarillos and cigars | 100 cigarillos; 50 cigars |
| Cut tobacco and pipe tobacco | 250 g of each |
| Drinks over 22% alcohol | 1 litre |
| Drinks up to 22% alcohol | 2 litres |
| Perfume, cologne and lotions | Up to 600 ml, plus 5 skin-care or make-up items |
| Fresh or dried fruit and vegetables | Up to 3 kg (other plant products 1 kg) |
| Pets | Up to 2 cats, dogs or birds, with a vet report and documents of origin and vaccination |
Weapons, ammunition, narcotics and protected animal species must always be declared. Rules can change, so check the Ministry of Trade page before you bring large amounts.
SIM card or eSIM
Vodafone is the only phone company in the airport's shop list. It has shops in Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the Domestic terminal, open 08:00–23:00, and no Turkcell or Türk Telekom shop is listed. If you land after 23:00, set up an eSIM before you fly. You need your passport for any Turkish line.
- Vodafone: its Welcome to Turkey Pack (20 GB, 750 minutes, 28 days) comes free when you activate a new line, but Vodafone publishes no price for the SIM itself, which "may vary from shop to shop". Ask for the total price before you hand over your passport.
- Turkcell Tourist Welcome Pack: ≈€32 (₺1,800) for 20 GB of data, 200 minutes and 100 texts over 28 days. You apply online up to 90 days before you arrive and pay by card. With a phone that supports eSIM and NFC and a biometric (chipped) passport, you activate the eSIM yourself in the Turkcell app: after passport control, open the app's "Türkiye entry check" page, and once it says you can start using your line, switch it on in your phone's settings. Otherwise, collect the SIM or eSIM free of charge at any Turkcell store (none is listed at the airport). Only a passport is accepted, not a national ID card.
- Foreign eSIM or roaming: the UK government notes that access to some eSIM services is restricted in Türkiye, so check with your provider before you travel.
Your phone and the 120-day rule
A phone brought from abroad can be used in Türkiye for 120 days without registration, on your home SIM, roaming or a foreign eSIM. If you buy a Turkish SIM, the operator pairs your phone with the new number when you sign up. Registration is only needed to keep using a phone from abroad on a Turkish line beyond 120 days, and the fee in 2026 is ≈€975 (₺54,258).
Money: ATMs, exchange desks and cards
Every terminal has ATMs from eight Turkish banks: Akbank, Garanti, İş Bankası, Denizbank, Yapı Kredi, TEB, Halkbank and Ziraat. The airport says most accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Cirrus, Plus and American Express. Check the fee on the screen before you confirm, and if the ATM offers to charge you in your home currency, choose lira: the on-the-spot conversion usually costs more.
Two exchange companies work around the clock:
- Global Exchange: four offices, two in the international baggage hall of T1 and two in that of T2, next to the duty-free shops.
- Travelex: just after the baggage hall at T1 and T2 international arrivals, and after passport control in T1 departures.
We could not check their rates. Airport exchange desks often pay less than banks in town, so change only what you need for the first hours and compare with a bank ATM. Cash isn't accepted on the tram or city buses: there you tap an Antalyakart or a contactless bank card.
Wi-Fi, luggage lockers and other services
Free Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is free for 1 hour in all terminals, with no membership. Get a PIN code at a Wi-Fi kiosk in the arrival or departure hall; you need a mobile phone, an ID card or a passport. Unlimited Wi-Fi is only offered in the CIP terminal and the lounges. An hour is enough to read your messages and contact your hotel, but not for a long wait, so a SIM or eSIM is worth having.
Luggage lockers and bag wrapping
The only left-luggage option is a set of lockers in the arrivals hall of the Domestic terminal. The airport mentions them for passengers departing from Terminal 1 or the Domestic terminal and publishes no prices or sizes. Nothing is listed at Terminal 2. For the flight home, bag wrapping is available 24 hours a day, for a fee, in the departure halls of T1 and T2.
Help desks, pharmacies and medical care
- Information desks: in the arrival and departure halls of all three terminals. The staff speak Turkish, English, German and Russian, and in high season terminal guides help too.
- Pharmacies: one in International Terminal 1 and one in International Terminal 2. Opening hours are not published.
- Medical care: a 24-hour emergency and general clinic, run with MMS Clinics (Anatolia Hospital), with an ambulance on call.
- Reduced mobility: tell your airline or tour operator in advance. The airport provides a wheelchair if you don't have one, priority at passport control, a lift to baggage reclaim and an escort to the welcome desks.
Into the city and resorts: where the tram, buses, Havaş and taxis leave
Public transport from the airport only goes into Antalya. No public bus runs from the terminals straight to Belek, Side, Kemer or Alanya: you change in the city, usually at the Otogar (bus station).
| Option | Leaves from | Goes to | Journey time | Cost | Hours |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| AntRay tram T1A | Havalimanı stop at the T1 and Domestic end; no tram at T2 | Meydan, İsmetpaşa (Kaleiçi), Otogar | 22 min to Meydan, ~31 min to İsmetpaşa, ~50 min to the Otogar | ≈€0.75 (₺42) with Antalyakart, ≈€0.90 (₺50) with a contactless card | 06:31–00:05, every 12–18 min in the daytime |
| Havaş coach | Domestic terminal | Otogar, Akdeniz University, Konyaaltı (Migros) | ~45 min | ≈€4 (₺230) | A coach for every domestic arrival, night flights included |
| City buses 400, 600, 800 | Terminal 2 (first stop), then the "Dış Hatlar Terminal Girişi" stop on the T1 access road | 400: Konyaaltı beach road and Sarısu; 600: 100. Yıl Bulvarı and the Otogar; 800: Güzeloba, Düden Park and Meydan | 400: 45–55 min to Konyaaltı; 600: ~54 min to the Otogar; 800: ~60 min to Meydan | Antalyakart or contactless card; check the fare on the reader | 600: 06:35–23:35, every 90 min; 400: 07:40–22:45, plus 00:15 and 01:25; 800: 06:45–23:45; night bus 600G: 01:05, 03:05, 05:05 |
| Taxi | Rank in front of every arrivals exit | Door to door | 15–25 min to Lara, 20–30 min to the centre | ≈€13–14 (₺750–800) to Lara, ≈€15–16 (₺850–900) to the centre | 24/7; there is no night rate |
| Private transfer | Your driver waits just outside the arrivals exit | Your hotel | 15–25 min to Lara, 30–40 min to Belek | from €35 per vehicle | 24/7, flight tracked |
Tram, bus and Havaş fares are per person, one way. Antalya's council is reviewing taxi and public-transport fares in October 2026, so these may change; Havaş sets its own fares. Taxi fares are meter estimates on the central tariff, ≈€0.70 (₺40) to start plus ≈€0.90 (₺50) per km, and a standard taxi takes up to 4 passengers. Transfer prices are per vehicle (Mercedes Vito, up to 6 passengers); the exact price for your date and pickup time is shown before you pay.
Landing at Terminal 2
There is no tram stop at T2. For the tram, take the free ring shuttle from the front of the T2 departures level to Terminal 1, then walk a few minutes to the Havalimanı stop. City buses 400, 600 and 800 start at T2 itself. No Antalyakart machine is listed at T2, so a contactless bank card is the simplest way to pay on the bus. For Havaş, take the ring shuttle to T1 and walk through to the Domestic terminal.
Landing at Terminal 1 or the Domestic terminal
The tram stop is a short walk away, with Antalyakart machines next to and inside it and one more opposite the Domestic terminal bus stop. Havaş leaves from the Domestic terminal; from T1, walk through the connected building. City buses stop at "Dış Hatlar Terminal Girişi" on the T1 access road, about 240 m from the tram stop. Until 31 October 2026 the bus stops at the Domestic terminal and at T1 itself are out of use because of road works.
Antalyakart: what visitors pay
The Antalyakart costs ≈€1.80 (₺100) with no credit on it, and each ride then costs ≈€0.75 (₺42). It isn't personal, so several people can tap the same card, and it gives one free transfer within an hour. A contactless bank card costs ≈€0.90 (₺50) a ride with no transfers, and it can also pay for several people. For one person the card only pays off from the 13th ride, so on a short stay the bank card is usually cheaper. Disposable Kullan-At cards are sold only as 2 rides (≈€2 / ₺112) or 5 rides (≈€4.50 / ₺250). Our Antalyakart guide has the details.
Which is cheapest?
On your own, the tram is by far the cheapest way into the city. For one or two people going to Lara, a taxi is cheaper than a private transfer. Five or six people with suitcases need two taxis, about €59–63 (₺3,300–3,500) to Belek, while one Mercedes Vito costs from €40 per vehicle. With big suitcases, note that AntRay only allows luggage you can easily carry by hand, up to 25 kg. See Antalya Airport bus and tram for every timetable, Antalya Airport taxi prices for fares to each resort and Arriving in Antalya at night if you land late.
Meeting your pre-booked transfer driver
Your driver waits just outside the arrivals exit of your terminal. Once you land and switch on your phone, the driver messages you on WhatsApp with the exact meeting point and a short video showing the way. Your flight is tracked, so if it lands early or late, the pickup follows the actual landing time.
Tour-operator reps, coach drivers and taxi drivers also wait outside, so go only with the driver who contacted you on WhatsApp. If you can't find them, call or message the number they wrote from, or our 24/7 line on +90 544 102 1414. More in Meeting your driver at Antalya Airport.
A Mercedes Vito for up to 6 passengers costs from €35 per vehicle to Lara or Konyaaltı, from €55 to Kaleiçi and the centre, from €40 to Belek, from €45 to Side, from €50 to Kemer and from €80 to Alanya. The exact price for your date and pickup time is shown before you pay.
