A flight from Adnan Menderes airport means an early start from Kiraz. The private car collects you at your house, hotel or village road at the time we agree, drives west via Ödemiş, Tire and Torbalı and delivers you to the departures entrance of the right terminal. Allow around two hours for the journey.

Working out when to leave
The distance is the reason you plan early. The road from Kiraz to ADB takes about 100 to 125 minutes, and that is before check-in. Choose your pickup time by starting with the airline's check-in deadline, subtracting the full drive and adding a margin. For a flight at 07:00 this means a start in the middle of the night. If an earlier start is awkward in the village, consider shifting your flight or spending the last night in Ödemiş or near the airport.
West along the valley
The route leaves Kiraz towards Ödemiş and uses the Ödemiş ring road, then follows the D-310 past Tire on the bypass to Torbalı. At Torbalı it meets the D-550 and turns north to the airport. Nothing here is a motorway sprint: it is a mix of main roads and town edges, so the pace is steady. A driver who knows the road is the point of booking.
Village pickups
In the town of Kiraz the streets are ordinary and a pickup from a house or small hotel is simple. Up in the hill villages such as Umurlu or Karabolu, the lanes are narrow and winding, so the car may have to wait where the road widens. Send a map pin and a phone number for the host, and if the road is unpaved or steep, say so. We would rather plan the meeting spot in advance than lose twenty minutes on the morning.
Can the train help?
A regional TCDD train is listed between Ödemiş and the airport station, and a few services run each day, but this comes from timetable listings rather than an official source we could confirm. Even if the times suit you, you must still get from Kiraz to Ödemiş first. For an early flight, a private car straight from your door is far more dependable than stringing together local buses and a train.
Terminal and drop-off
ADB has separate international and domestic terminals. Tell us the flight and we use the correct departures entrance.
- Tired after a family visit: sit back, the driver handles the road.
- Long drive with young children: plan a short stop in Ödemiş or Torbalı.
- Heavy bags such as gifts and food from home: tell us in advance so we send a vehicle with space.
The night before your flight
Because the start is early, prepare the evening before: pack the bags, charge your phone, and tell your host the departure time so someone can unlock gates or lights. If a relative is saying goodbye at the door, agree an earlier farewell, since long goodbyes are the most common reason for a late departure. The driver messages you on WhatsApp when setting off and again on arrival at your address, so you can plan the last minutes calmly.
For a day-time flight you gain some flexibility, but the distance does not change. A pickup in the early hours is normal for morning departures.
🛫 Kiraz to İzmir Airport: when to leave for your flight
The drive takes about 105 minutes without traffic. Most airlines ask you to be at the airport about 3 hours before an international flight and 2 hours before a domestic one, so from Kiraz plan a pickup about 5¼–6¼ hours before an international flight and 4¼–5¼ hours before a domestic flight. Always follow your own airline’s advice.
Example: for an international flight at 14:00, book your pickup for between about 07:45 and 08:45.
