The distance covers the D-515 to Selçuk, the D-550 to the Belevi junction and the İzmir–Aydın Motorway north, and the journey normally takes 65 to 85 minutes. Add the airline's advice of two to three hours before an international departure, and a 14:00 flight sends you off around 09:30 or 10:00. Cruise days and summer weekends slow the Selçuk to Kuşadası road, which is exactly the section you leave on, so pad the first leg most. Think of the ride as the quiet end of the holiday, with a driver who knows the Selçuk road and its slow patches.

Getting out of town with your bags
Hotels around the port and Kaleiçi sit on narrow, busy streets, and some old-town lanes are pedestrian, so the driver may wait round the corner. On the slope above Ladies Beach the access roads are steep. Resort hotels south towards Yavansu and Long Beach, and those along the northern coast, are more spread out; the full hotel name saves a lot of time on the day.
After the ship
If your cruise ends at Ege Port and you fly the same day, your ship dictates the timing, so check the latest disembarkation time on your cruise documents, and write it in your booking so the pickup is not too tight. Mention the pier or area where you will be standing. A last half-hour at the Caravanserai or a walk out to Pigeon Island is best skipped on departure morning.
Terminal check before you set off
Adnan Menderes has separate international and domestic terminal buildings. Know yours before the pickup and tell the driver, who can also send route details or a short video on WhatsApp in English if you need them. Drop-off is at the departures entrance, and you check in there.
Coach or private transfer back to the airport
The Havaş coach connects Kuşadası Bus Terminal with the airport in about 90 minutes, with departures roughly every two hours, so it might not fit an early flight, and the bus terminal may be a taxi ride from your hotel. There is no train from Kuşadası. A private car picks you up at your accommodation at the time you choose and is priced per vehicle and not per person. 🛫 Kuşadası to İzmir Airport: when to leave for your flight
The drive takes about 70 minutes without traffic. Most airlines ask you to be at the airport about 3 hours before an international flight and 2 hours before a domestic one, so from Kuşadası plan a pickup about 4½–5¼ hours before an international flight and 3½–4¼ hours before a domestic flight.
