The ride from Yavansu to İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) is the shortest of the southern Kuşadası villages, around an hour and a quarter, but resort check-out times and Kuşadası traffic shape the day. A private transfer collects you at the hotel entrance and takes you to the departures entrance of your terminal.

Resort check-out and evening flights

The classic Yavansu problem is a midday room check-out with a flight late in the evening. Ask reception whether bags can be kept for the afternoon, and agree a pickup that suits the flight and not the room. For a morning international departure the car arrives early, around four to five hours before take-off, so plan breakfast the evening before or ask the hotel for a packed one.

Leaving through Kuşadası

The driver joins the coastal boulevards north, passes Ladies Beach and the town, then follows the D-515 to Selçuk and the D-550 to Belevi, where the İzmir–Aydın Motorway (O-31) leads north to the airport. Late afternoon on the boulevards in high season is the slowest time, so factor that in for an evening flight. Without traffic the whole run is about an hour and a quarter.

Pickup at a resort or on a hillside

Resorts have their own forecourts, which suit a van. Hotels on the slopes above the beach have steep access roads, so say whether you prefer to be collected at the lobby or at the bottom of the hill. With a group, gather the bags at the door before the driver arrives so the stop takes a minute.

Travelling with children

Aquapark and family resorts mean many guests leave with tired children and wet swimming kit. Pack towels and swimwear in a separate bag that goes on top, and keep snacks and travel documents within reach, because the ride is over an hour.

Terminal check

ADB runs separate international and domestic buildings. Confirm yours on the ticket, tell the driver, and the car stops at that departures entrance.

A sample evening departure

For a 20:00 international flight the car comes around 14:30 to 15:00, after a final lunch at the resort. That timing keeps you off the boulevards at their slowest late-afternoon hours and still leaves the usual cushion at check-in. For a 10:30 flight the pickup is closer to 05:30, so settle the bill and the room key the night before. Whatever the flight, message us the number and we will suggest a pickup time.

Settling up before you go

All-inclusive hotels often close the buffet or the bar tab at set times, so check when reception opens if you leave at dawn. Pay any extras the evening before and empty the room safe before you sleep. The booking guarantee has already been paid online, so keep the cash balance ready for the driver.

Coach from the bus terminal?

Havaş lists a service between Kuşadası Bus Terminal and the airport that takes about ninety minutes, with departures roughly every two hours and times that change by season. From Yavansu you would first need a minibus or taxi into town, then a wait, then ninety minutes on the coach with your bags. It may cost less, but only if the timetable happens to match your flight with room to spare, which is why families usually choose a private car.

🛫 Yavansu to İzmir Airport: when to leave for your flight

The drive takes about 75 minutes without traffic. Most airlines ask you to be at the airport about 3 hours before an international flight and 2 hours before a domestic one, so from Yavansu plan a pickup about 4¾–5¼ hours before an international flight and 3¾–4¼ hours before a domestic flight. Always follow your own airline’s advice.

Example: for an international flight at 14:00, book your pickup for between about 08:45 and 09:15.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take from Yavansu to ADB?

Around an hour and a quarter without traffic, the shortest of the southern Kuşadası villages.

What if my hotel check-out is before my flight?

Ask reception about keeping bags. Your pickup time is set by the flight, not by the check-out.

How early should the driver come for an international flight?

Four to five hours before departure is typical for Yavansu. Send the flight number and we will suggest a time.

Will the driver collect me from the hotel lobby?

Yes, at the entrance you choose. For hotels on a steep slope you can also meet at the bottom of the access road.

Is a cheaper coach possible?

Havaş coaches run from Kuşadası bus terminal. You would need a minibus or taxi to get there, so for families a direct car is easier.

Do you accept last-minute changes?

Message us on WhatsApp and we will adjust the time. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours ahead.
