Where Yavansu sits

Yavansu is a coastal neighbourhood of Kuşadası district, a few kilometres south of the town centre, with Kadınlar Denizi (Ladies Beach) to the north and Karaova to the south. It marks the northern end of the long sandy stretch known as Long Beach (Uzun Plaj). The mood is calmer than the town: all-inclusive and family resorts, apart-hotels and aquapark hotels rather than bars and bazaars. The cruise port is in the town centre, a short drive north.

The drive from ADB

From Gaziemir the driver joins the İzmir–Aydın Motorway (O-31) south to Belevi, takes the D-550 to Selçuk and the D-515 on to Kuşadası, then follows the coastal boulevards south to Yavansu. Without traffic you are there in about an hour and a quarter, the shortest ride of the Kuşadası-district villages. The slow part is the last stretch through the resort in July and August, when the boulevards fill up in the afternoon.

Resort entrances and slope hotels

Resorts here have their own entrances and car parks off the coastal road, so the driver can pull in at reception. Some hotels sit on slopes above the beach, reached by steep access roads. Give the driver the hotel name rather than just Yavansu, as there are many near one another, and you will be taken to the right gate.

Do you need a transfer at all?

There is no direct public service. The Havaş Kuşadası coach stops at the bus terminal, and from there you need a local minibus or taxi to the resort. That is workable for a couple with a rucksack, but with children, strollers and suitcases a vehicle that goes straight from the arrivals exit to the hotel forecourt is easier, and its price is per vehicle rather than per person.

The coach option in numbers

Havaş runs an airport coach to Kuşadası via the İzmir–Aydın Motorway, stopping at Selçuk and Kuşadası Bus Terminal. According to its listing the journey takes about 90 minutes and departures run roughly every two hours, though times change by season. From the bus terminal Yavansu is still a taxi or minibus ride south. If a coach leaves soon after you land, you may miss it once bags are collected, and the next could be two hours away. Add the onward taxi and the door-to-door journey is usually longer than the private transfer.

Arriving with children

Yavansu's hotels are aimed at families, so many arrivals bring prams and swim gear along with the suitcases. Put the number of passengers and bags in the booking, so the right vehicle is sent. If your flight lands in the evening, ask the hotel whether dinner service continues late.

🔁 Going home: Yavansu back to İzmir Airport

You can book the way back in the same booking: choose a return trip on the booking form and enter the date and pickup time for your flight home. On the day, your driver waits at your hotel entrance or your address at that time and helps with your luggage.

From Yavansu the drive back takes about 75 minutes without traffic, so for an international flight choose a pickup about 4¾–5¼ hours before departure, and about 3¾–4¼ hours before a domestic flight. For a flight at 18:00, that means a pickup between about 12:45 and 13:15.

Traffic: İzmir traffic is heaviest on weekday mornings and evenings on the ring road and the roads into the airport; in summer the roads to and from Çeşme and Kuşadası are much slower at weekends and on public holidays, so leave earlier then.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the İzmir airport to Yavansu transfer?

About an hour and a quarter without traffic. Summer afternoons on the Kuşadası boulevards can add time.

Is Yavansu north or south of Kuşadası?

South. It lies just beyond Ladies Beach and before Karaova, at the northern end of Long Beach.

Do the drivers know the Yavansu resorts?

Please give the exact hotel name when you book, since several resorts stand close together and the name avoids any mix-up.

Is there a shuttle bus from the airport to Yavansu?

There is no direct bus. Havaş runs a coach to Kuşadası bus terminal, then you continue by minibus or taxi.

Where do I find the driver at ADB?

Just outside the arrivals exit of the terminal you land at; the exact meeting point comes by WhatsApp after landing.

Can I change the hotel after booking?

Yes, send the new name by WhatsApp before pickup. Free cancellation applies up to 24 hours before the transfer.
