Davutlar lies well south of Kuşadası town, on the road towards the Dilek Peninsula, and many arrivals underestimate that last stretch. A private transfer from İzmir Airport (ADB) brings you to the door of your holiday-home estate. The driver meets you just outside the arrivals exit and sends the exact meeting point on WhatsApp after you land.
✅ What's Included
South of Kuşadası, not in it
Davutlar is a large neighbourhood of Kuşadası district, roughly 15 to 19 km south of the town depending on whose figure you trust. Fields of fruit and vegetables meet a coast lined with holiday homes, and Love Beach (Sevgi Plajı) is on this shore. The road to the Dilek Peninsula–Büyük Menderes Delta National Park runs through the village. If the booking says Kuşadası but your estate is in Davutlar, give the driver the village name so the route is planned correctly.
Two ways to get there from ADB
The usual choice is the İzmir–Aydın Motorway (O-31) to the Germencik junction, then the D-525 towards Söke and the D-515 down to Davutlar. The alternative goes via Selçuk and through Kuşadası town. Plan on about an hour and twenty minutes without traffic. The second route can be slower on summer weekends because it crosses the resort, so the driver picks whichever is clearer on the day.
Gated estates and beach lanes
Most accommodation is in holiday-home estates, often with a barrier and a guard. Send the estate name and the block number, and warn the guard that a car is coming. The lanes towards Sevgi Plajı are narrow and busy in July and August, so the final approach can take longer than the map suggests.
Buses, taxis and this transfer
The Havaş coach that serves Kuşadası lists a stop at Davutlar Junction. Check the current timetable on havas.net, because coach times change with the season. You would still need a local minibus or taxi from the junction to your estate, with bags, after a flight. A private transfer goes from the arrivals exit to the estate gate, and the price per vehicle, not per person, is shown before you pay.
What the İZBAN train does and does not do
The airport has its own İZBAN station, and trains run south from there as far as Selçuk, the gateway to Ephesus. That sounds promising for a Kuşadası-area trip, but Selçuk is still a long way from Davutlar, and you would end up changing to a taxi or minibus with all your luggage. Service patterns vary by time of day, so check izban.com.tr if you want to look into it. The site shows a first departure around 05:20 and a last arrival at the terminus around 01:23 across the network. A late flight can fall outside those hours, whereas a transfer is waiting whenever you land.
Settling in
Ask your host how far the nearest shop and the beach are on foot, since the village spreads along the coast, and arrange the key handover for your landing time. Forward the host's map link to us on WhatsApp after booking, because it is more reliable than an address spoken at a gate.
- Tell us the estate name when you book, since many Davutlar addresses are known by the estate rather than the street.
- Larger families fit in the Vito; bigger parties can ask about a Sprinter.

🔁 Going home: Davutlar back to İzmir Airport
You can book the way back in the same booking: choose a return trip on the booking form and enter the date and pickup time for your flight home. On the day, your driver waits at your hotel entrance or your address at that time and helps with your luggage.
From Davutlar the drive back takes about 80 minutes without traffic, so for an international flight choose a pickup about 4¾–5½ hours before departure, and about 3¾–4½ hours before a domestic flight. For a flight at 18:00, that means a pickup between about 12:30 and 13:15.
Traffic: İzmir traffic is heaviest on weekday mornings and evenings on the ring road and the roads into the airport; in summer the roads to and from Çeşme and Kuşadası are much slower at weekends and on public holidays, so leave earlier then.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
How far is Davutlar from İzmir Airport?
Around 80 minutes by car without traffic, longer on summer weekends. It is further than Kuşadası town itself.
Is Davutlar the same as Kuşadası?
Davutlar is part of Kuşadası district but a separate village-like neighbourhood to the south. Always give the driver the Davutlar address.
Is there a bus from ADB to Davutlar?
The Havaş Kuşadası coach lists a Davutlar Junction stop, but there is no direct service to the village itself. You would continue by minibus or taxi.
Why does the address matter so much in Davutlar?
Many holiday homes are known by the estate name, not a street. Send the estate and block so the driver can go straight to the right gate.
Where will the driver meet me at the airport?
Just outside the arrivals exit. After landing you receive the exact meeting point and a short video on WhatsApp.
What if the estate guard does not let the car in?
Give the driver the owner's or the estate manager's phone number in advance so the gate can be opened.
