The drive takes about 75 to 95 minutes, via the D-505 to the Karaburun junction, the O-32 motorway and the İzmir Ring Road. That is the driving time alone. There is little along the coastal road once you leave the village, so decide whether you need breakfast before you set off. A short stop in Urla for water or a snack is possible if you ask the driver at the start.
Why public transport does not suit a flight
You would take ESHOT 761 from Mordoğan to Urla, then ESHOT 984 or 684 to Fahrettin Altay, then the İzmir Metro and İZBAN to the airport. The chain is slow, the first İZBAN train leaves around 05:20 and the connections do not fit an early flight. Nothing runs directly. The practical choice for a flight is a private car, or a taxi with a long-distance fare.
