Karabağlar is close to Adnan Menderes airport, but a flight is still easier to catch with a car at your door. About 11 km separate Karabağlar from the airport, so on a quiet morning the car needs only 15 to 25 minutes. The catch is the clock, not the distance. At rush hours on Yeşillik Caddesi, Akçay Caddesi and the ring road the same ride can take 30 to 40 minutes. We suggest picking the pickup time from your airline's check-in deadline, then subtracting the longer figure with a small cushion. For a quiet Sunday departure you can be more relaxed.
Which terminal, and why it matters
The international and domestic terminals at ADB are separate buildings. Check your ticket for the right one and mention it in your booking. The drop-off is at the departures entrance, from where check-in desks are a few steps away. If you are connecting domestically to an international flight on a single booking, ask your airline where to check in before the day of travel.
Pickup from a hillside block
Much of Karabağlar is built on slopes. Narrow upper streets can mean the Vito has to wait on the nearest main road instead of at your door. A WhatsApp pin from the front of your building removes any doubt, and the driver can ring when close. Nobody expects you to haul luggage far: if it is a long walk with heavy cases, say so in advance and we choose the nearest legal stopping place.
Early flights and the night buses
Overnight, ESHOT runs only four airport lines, among them line 206 from the Şirinyer transfer centre, with three departures in the small hours. That can work if you are already near Şirinyer with light luggage. For anyone else, a booked car from the door is far simpler. İZBAN starts around 05:20 across the network, so do not plan an 06:00 check-in around it unless you have checked the timetable and your station.

🛫 Karabağlar to İzmir Airport: when to leave for your flight
The drive takes about 25 minutes without traffic.
