What the Fare Covers
- The whole vehicle for your group, with a licensed driver who speaks English. The transfer is private to your group.
- Flight tracking: if your plane is late, the driver adjusts and you pay nothing extra for traffic or flight delays.
- All taxes and fees, so there is no motorway toll to settle on the way.
- A pickup just outside the arrivals exit and a drop-off at your hotel or villa, or as close as the street allows.
Booking in Four Steps
- Search: enter Izmir Airport, your hotel or address in Çeşme, the date and time, passengers and suitcases.
- Choose the vehicle that fits your group and bags. The price shown is the price you pay.
- Enter your name, e-mail, a WhatsApp number and your flight number so we can follow the flight.
- Confirm. A confirmation e-mail arrives straight away; the booking guide shows each screen.
On the day, the driver waits just outside the arrivals exit of your terminal. After you land, they send the exact meeting point and a short video on WhatsApp, so you walk out and find the car without searching.
Which Part of the Peninsula Is Your Bed In?
The towns lie several kilometres apart, and the hotel name matters more than the word Çeşme. Drive times are from the airport on a clear road; the full route page is Izmir Airport to Çeşme.
| Area | Drive time | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Alaçatı old town | About 63 min | Stone-house lanes; the car stops at the nearest practical point and you walk the last stretch |
| Ilıca | About 66 min | Thermal-spring and beach district east of the town, where many larger hotels stand |
| Port Alaçatı and the windsurf bay | About 69 min | Own roads, so the car can usually reach the entrance |
| Çeşme centre (castle, marina, port) | About 68 min | Compact, with one-way streets that fill in summer |
| Dalyan, Boyalık and Çiftlikköy | About 70 to 75 min | Quieter coast and resort areas; the Havaş coach does not go there |
If you stay near the castle, the driver stops as close as traffic allows and you finish on foot. Give the hotel name when you book, not just the town: in Alaçatı the old town, the marina and the beach are different places.
Vito, Sprinter or Two Cars for a Villa Group
Many people here rent a villa, so the party is often bigger than a family of four. A Vito takes six passengers with seven bags. For a group sharing a villa, or a wedding party, a Sprinter takes up to 15 with 20 bags, and a VIP Sprinter takes 10 with 16. Two couples with large cases fit better in a Sprinter than squeezed into one Vito.
Windsurf and kite bags take real space. Mention them in the booking notes so the right vehicle is planned; the luggage guide lists what each vehicle carries. Child seats cost five euros per seat, and you add them when you book.
The Morning Boat to Chios
The Chios ferries leave from the port in Çeşme town. Check-in is 1 to 1.5 hours before departure, and the timetable changes by season, so check Ertürk Lines for your date. The Havaş coach is too slow for an early boat: its first departure, 06:30, reaches Çeşme bus station around 08:10, which is late for a 09:00 sailing. Either land early and take a private transfer straight to the port, or sleep in Çeşme the night before. Put the sailing time in your booking notes.
Back to Izmir Airport from the Peninsula
The drive back takes about 65 minutes without traffic. For an international flight book the pickup about 4½ to 5 hours before departure, and 3½ to 4 hours before a domestic flight, so a 14:00 international flight means a pickup between about 09:00 and 09:30. Leave earlier on summer Sundays, public holidays and the last weekend of a school break, when the O-32 slows towards Izmir. If you plan a last swim, set the pickup for after it.
The driver collects you at your hotel entrance and drops you at the departures floor of the right terminal: Izmir has separate international and domestic buildings, so tell the driver which one. Add the return when you book to get a discount on that leg, or book it later from the Çeşme to Izmir Airport page. For Alaçatı pickups there is a separate route page.
When the Havaş Coach or a Taxi Is Enough
A private car is not always the cheapest choice. The Havaş coach costs about €11 (₺600) per person, takes roughly 75 minutes to Alaçatı and 100 to Çeşme bus station, and suits one or two light travellers whose hotel is near a stop. For a single car the airport taxi list gives ≈€97 (₺5,400) to Çeşme, which is about level with our Vito, though a taxi toll may be extra. Our Izmir Airport to Çeşme and Alaçatı guide compares every option, and the taxi or private transfer guide sets the numbers side by side.
Changing or Cancelling
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup. Between 6 and 24 hours before, the fee is 50% of the one-way price, and under 6 hours there is no refund. You can change the date and time online at least 24 hours before pickup. Details are in the cancellation help article.
